The experience was decent. I shared an Rueben sandwich with some fries with my wife. My mother in law and son shared some chicken tender. It would had been nice to know ahead of time that there was a 3% fee if we didn’t pay cash, didn’t notice the small sign on the hostess station until after we ordered out lunch. I really loved that we could stare at the Potomac River from our table.

This is a quirky, no-nonsense diner on the bank of the Potomac River in Hancock, Maryland. Serves excellent home cooking favorites.

This was a small diner with good food at good prices. I enjoyed their pork & sauerkraut special while my husband had their fish & fries. They had posted daily carry-out specials for $8 (today was ham pot pie) which sounded interesting. Service was good and we would definitely make this a regular stop if we lived around here.

We stopped here while traveling home from DC. While the building is older, the food was wonderful and the two girls serving us were the sweetest. That’s what counts. Prices were affordable as well. We paid between $10 and $15 per person depending what we ordered. We will certainly stop again when traveling through.

You know, not too bad. We were a little concerned at first because it was a Friday evening and there were very few people there. We knew it used to be pretty good, but that was years ago. We decided to try it when our restaurant of choice was closed for power failure. The waiter was very nice and even humorous. We had a blast just joking around with him on a slow night. Food came quickly and turned out to be quite good in a country dining sort of way. We decided to even try dessert because their dessert menu was enticing. Turned out to be an enjoyable dining experience and a break from the routine.
