Parkers is awesome! It’s like being transported back in time. The service is top notch. They hustle to make sure you are well taken care of. The food is out of sight. Every bite is delicious. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area again! Highly recommend.

Just left Parkers BBQ. I was here about 5 years ago. Definitely down east BBQ. I had the BBQ plate with slaw and 1 Hush Puppy and 2 Corn Sticks. Guess I should have asked about how many Pups come with the order. Just surprised at 1.

A very enjoyable barbque experience in Wilson, NC. The only reason this was not 5 stars is because I’m not a big fan of the Carolina style, vinegar based sauce. Even with it, it was quality que. On top of the pulled pork sandwich we also very much enjoyed the chicken. I also really enjoyed how they would bring you a small pitcher of your beverage order. This was a great dining experience for the whole family. Definitely a great lunch stop if you are traveling through Wilson, NC.

First time here and hopefully not the last! In town for golf and came here post-round for lunch. Service is fast and friendly. Food was delicious!

I’m not from the south originally and was looking to find a spot with authentic southern BBQ. A handful of people recommended Parker’s, so I figured I’d give it a try. We loved it! I wasn’t going in expecting some gourmet, new-age BBQ restaurant‐‐ I could see from the pictures it looked simple and authentic, which is essentially what we were looking for. We all ordered the BBQ platter which was only 14 dollars pp for all you can eat!! I live in Raleigh so it’s a bit of a drive, but I will certainly be coming back here again.

When visiting Wilson this is definitely a must stop. When you enter the restaurant you’re greeted immediately by a staff member who seats you. I’m from up North and I cannot tell you how polite everyone in North Carolina is. Everyone in this restaurant was hustling and working hard. We We seated with menus and our order was placed within 5 minutes. In less than that time we had a table full of some of the most delicious BBQ. Fried Chicken was crispy pulled pork was moist and that boiled potato and green beans I still dream about it. Thinking about taking a trip just to eat at some of Wilson’s best kept secrets.

The restaurant is quite old and…historic. When you go inside, there are two separate counters, and a whole separate eating area around the back. Obviously, it is segregated no longer but the layout is a stark reminder of how things used to be. I took my food to go. The food itself is interesting. The chopped pork is by far the best I’ve had in the state. It’s well seasoned and clearly whole hog. The sides (fries, Brunswick stew, green beans) however are quite bad. Stick to the cue, hush puppies and slaw.

Never disappointed here. BBQ is very good, sauces are a vinegar base, but tasty. I love the sides here, corn bread sticks, and the greens. I believe that they still have a walk up service window on the north side if you don’t want to sit down inside.
