Had a chance to try this place on St Patrick’s day to have my corned beef and pastrami and wow did this hit the spot! Definitely puts some competition to Katz in Manhattan the meat was flavorful juicy and extra lean and for a reasonable price! The potatoe knish was great and probably the best Caesar salad I’ve ever had I don’t know what the secret is in the dressing but I couldn’t stop eating it definitely a great spot worth every penny will be back soon!

Very sad they lost their lease after all these years. I remember coming here as a kid for some Dr. Browns Soda, a hot pastrami and a soup with my family. We largely came here as a nice alternative to a longer drive/ different taste from Bens but I did enjoy the home style atmosphere and especially the separate area to pick up your deli orders. Hopefully they come back especially with a beautiful renovation. For now I’ll go to Ben’s and Pastrami Express but look forward to trying food fit for a king again one day.

My God what an awesome place this is…. When you walk in everything looks so delicious beautifully decorated…. The food was outstanding…. They give you pickles and coleslaw on the table…. That pastrami sandwich was so so delicious…. Can’t wait to go back and try some of that desserts and pastries

Pastrami is really good and likely best in the area. A bit pricey but the meat portion is huge. It comes on sliced bread which can be improved upon with a hero or roll. Been here several times and the food quality remains good

This place is about as New York as it gets. Pastrami is to die for (hence the rightly-given moniker). I also like to stop at the deli and pick up a few things for dessert when I leave. I recommend the combination platters for 3-4 people for a decently sized lunch. Cole slaw is their signature appetizer.

Just spent $70.00 on lunch, we came home to eat it only to find a wooden sandwich skewer sticking up out of a Philly cheesesteak!!!!! Could’ve choked or stabbed my boyfriend’s son in the mouth. I cannot believe the irresponsibility of such an oversight. As you can see the skewer is large!!! When I called the store to share this, I had to speak to three different people only to hear them tell me “it was meant to keep the sandwich together “. No apology, no sign of ownership, just affirmation that it’s a wooden toothpick. Such a lax attitude for a business to have!

Always delicious. But today was the last day to eat there. They are closed now. Lost their lease. Hopefully they find a new spot and reopen.

Possibly the worst service I’ve ever received. Food was good but the service and the atmosphere really ruined it for me. The place was empty and yet the waitresses were too busy to clean the dirty tables that had left because they were to involved in their own conversation. It sounded like they were arguing but I’m not sure because it wasn’t in English but I honestly thought they were going to go at it at one point. Maybe I’ll take food to go next time?

Great place. It has Potato knish’s, Spinach knish’s, and of course Pastrami knish’s. They are all worth a bite. They are good people. Something wasn’t put in our bag, we left, and out in the parking lot a man came over from the restaurant and told us. We went back and they gave us something special for free because they did not add it. Good place to go

I live near Port Jefferson and we will drive all the way to Pastrami King in Merrick to buy some sandwiches and hot dogs and salads and desserts. It is worth every minute and every mile and every dollar. If you don’t believe me, go and try their pastrami sandwich. I haven’t found a better sandwich in all of Long Island.
