Low key, clean and friendly spot for table service and take out. Had the hot pastrami platter and an order of their amazing hand cut fries to share between my wife, son and myself. Everything was fantastic and we all left full and vowing to return. The pastrami was melt in your mouth good…Just the right amount of fattiness. Potato salad and slaw as well as the pickles were all great as well.

Really great food and attentive staff in a cozy diner setting. My husband and I shared the pastrami platter and we were able to make two sandwiches out of the meat with plenty of leftover potato salad and coleslaw salad and pickles. I also got a matzo ball to try and it was really yummy. The pea soup was perfect and definitely something I will be coming back for as it’s hard to find nowadays. I got a chocolate milk shake drink thing that I didn’t love but my husband liked. This was definitely a great quintessential New York City spot and I will definitely be bringing my friends here when they come to visit the city so they can get a taste of what a great Jewish deli is.

My wife and I hit Pastrami Queen at 138 W. 72nd Street at the site of the late, lamented Fine and Shapiro’s Kosher Deli.

Split an overstuffed world-famous pastrami on rye with fries and half sour pickles. Fries were amazing and sandwich was huge and the best I’ve ever eaten. Service was super kind. We ate at table outside and every single dog that walked by stopped and investigated the area as if it’s the best smelling sidewalk ever ♀️.

Over stuffed pastrami on rye with sour pickles and can of dr browns cream soda was a classic New York experience. The customer service was excellent as well, highly recommend if you’re in town.

Friendly staff. Nice Neighborhood. The bread is as white as snow – so if you like that great. The shop could use a bit of an upgrade – it seems a bit dated and the entrance is a bit confusing.

The pastrami is the best I’ve ever had, and it’s also far cheaper than Katz’s! The corned beef and brisket are a bit too on the lean-and-dry side, so I’d suggest sticking to the pastrami. The potato salad is incredible, and the matzoh balls are nice and fluffy.

Normally it’s great but I did pickup last night. Corned beef sandwich was so skimpy, half the meat they would normally pile on. $28 is insane, there was empty bread on the sides. The corned beef itself had grizzle and just wasn’t great. Also the default rye bread has no seeds – you have to ASK for seeds rather than them asking me which I wanted. Just so expensive and disappointing.

Great pastrami and served very quickly! We tried the turkey and pastrami on rye and everyone was very happy.
