Best sandwiches in town for sure. Sandwiches are incredible up in the northeast, but in the south, we don’t have very many good options. Well, Paulie’s brings it all day every day, and it definitely rivals the East coast. I have thoughts about driving to Paulie’s on the regular. It’s an awesome joint. Atmosphere puts other sandwich joints to shame in Houston.

I ordered the shrimp po boy. It was good but I was expecting the shrimp to be cooked to order. It appears already cooked and then thrown into the microwave upon order. Also, there aren’t any fries to be ordered. Lastly, when I walked in the place there was nobody up front and when they appeared there was no friendly greeting just a stare at me until I ordered. These are all not a huge deal but it’s why I gave it 3 starts because there is room for improvement. I drove about 25 minutes to come check this place out based on reviews but I’ll be honest I won’t be going out of my way to come here unfortunately there are better places to get a shrimp po boy.

My boyfriend and I just ate lunch here for the first time. Clean place with great service. We ordered the Cuban and the Chicken Bacon Ranch. The Cuban was especially delicious! We will definitely be back!

Nifty po-boy shop w a touch of delicatessen feel…reminded me of the old Antoine’s. Enjoyed the “regular” as the chow-chow did not disappoint and the bread was fresh…and I tried some stuffed grape leaves on the side which were okay but nothing special. Service was courteous and prices were reasonable. Great to have a sandwich option other than the usual places. Enjoy.

The supreme poboy is the original Antone’s poboy recipe. A taste right out of my childhood. I come by here every time I’m in Houston. Chow chow is fire!!

This whole strip is under construction but Paulie’s is going strong still open during all the mess. It’s a little inconvenient because 1) you have to walk behind some construction to get to the entrance and 2) your view of the outside is completely blocked by said construction. But that’s not what makes this place just average. That’s done by the food.
