My girlfriend and I live in Wyoming but visited Manitou Springs a couple weeks ago for Summit (a Christian worldview course) – 5 stars as well 😉 – and ate here. I’ve just remembered I meant to post a review. I had pulled pork and ribs. It was some of the best food I’ve had in a long time. The baked beans were great too. I’m excited to go back next time we’re in town and we’re hoping they’ll have the sauce, which was amazing, bottled by then! I have no idea where the two star review on here came from stating that it must’ve just been friends and family leaving positive ratings, but I can assure you, my girlfriend and I are well-traveled out-of-towners, who have never met the owners until the day we ate here, and we absolutely loved it. I think it’s pretty likely that review came from a competitor. These are very nice people who served wonderful food at a reasonable price. Thank you !

Awesome BBQ the people were friendly and awesome the food was even better brisket was perfect flavor and juicy and the BBQ meatballs were awesome too. And their sauce was so good we had to take some home. I will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu. Best BBQ in town

Great little bbq stand close to hotels away from downtown. The owner is super friendly owner and the brisket sandwiches and beans were delicious. Sandwiches are around $9 but full of meat and worth the price. Wish we had time to go back to try more menu items!

Obviously quite a few friends of this new business have left the initial ratings. I like supporting local businesses, but this one was pretty disappointing. They raved about their BBQ meatballs. Got the sandwich, totally meh. Ikea’s Swedish meatballs are tastier. BBQ sauce seemed to be a bid for a unique taste, and it was uniquely unappealing. Service was friendly but slow, seemed pricey.

had a great experience w/ Tina & her crew! good food, nice conversation, & cool set-up. we ordered pulled pork, brisket, loaded potato salad (potato salad w/ load baked potato fixins mixed in), and the beans. i chatted w/ the crew about the area & they had lots of info to share. my husband, toddler, & dog played around in the dining area, while gawking at Pike’s Peak. they had picnic tables, a stage, dog toys & water, and some cute hay bale creatures to play on (great photo op). the pulled pork & brisket were yummbly w/ little fat. we thought the beans needed a little more something & the potato salad needed a touch of salt. our solution was to add some of the house sauce to the beans & eat spoonfuls of it w/ the potato salad–then it was all good! (funny thing: later that weekend i had potato salad elsewhere & it was too salty. had me wishing for Peak BBQ’s again). we were bummed that their sign had breakfast burritos on it, but they weren’t yet serving them for the season. now we have the perfect excuse to come back & stuff our happy faces. thanks guys for a great meal–see you again soon!

We chose peak bbq because it was conveniently across from our hotel. I had the pulled pork and sausage plate, portions were perfect and the sauce was sweet and smoky. Highly recommended

No running water, dishes typically only wiped down, owner is standoff-ish and likes to create problems and yell at his wife in earshot of customers.

Great little place! We got food to go and went back to hotel. They had us hooked up! Meat balls where excellent, brisket was superb, and the beans did there job!

Phenomenal! I had to tell myself to quit eating -it was that good. We had the ribs, coleslaw, and the fully loaded baked potato salad. I’m kinda hoping I can’t sleep tonight just to make my way to the leftovers.

Great tasting food (smoked meat & BBQ sauce), great location (right across our hotel & will go back), great service & atmosphere (patio was entertaining with “cattle roping” & giant Jenga game)–It was definitely a jewel we found in Manitou Springs while on vacation!
