I previously had a bad experience and some how they won me over again. I’m so happy I gave them a try again. Customer service was on point. The ability to customize my order was so refreshing. This is officially the best Haitian Restuarant in town! Keep up the good work. Your customers see it and appreciate it.

Seen this place of a YouTube food review (@grubtent on all platforms) i ordered the fried chicken meal which came with macaroni salad ,plantain 3 peices of chicken and black rice i added a side of macaroni and cheese because why not …i typically dont eat macaroni salad but upon seeing the review i was optimistic and wow was i surprised it wasn’t just a side peice it was trying to be the main it was gone before I tried anything else . The plantain was also fried to perfection i dont usually eat then since they are usually way to thick for my liking but i loved these. Next i tried the black rice it was good nothing special it was just good no complaints with the gravy and piklis it was next level. Now the chicken was really flavorful .the star tho was the macaroni and cheese it took about 30 mins it seems like but it seem to be made to order and omg it was worth every second definitely try this play out.

Today I had the diri djon djon with the fried chicken. They gave me graten. The rice was hard that I couldn’t eat it anymore.I always order the diri djon djon, but today was not it. This is my first time tasting the rice like that.

Best Fritay Griot I’ve ever had, their customer service is awesome. Highly recommend, it is also one of the cleanest places I’ve been to. Only one thing can you people reduce the wait time please.

The plate of food was visually appealing. The black rich was dark and rich looking. The Tassot was covered in onions tipped with two fresh plantain’s. The plantains were fried to perfection and went well with the pikliz. I got the fried goat and it was tasty but it was just too hard. It felt like I was eating Captain Crunch, gums hurts after I ate it. They have an amazing Papaya drink that they serve. The papaya drink is a 10/10. The black rice was really good, you could smell the thyme and mushroom flavor however it was cold. I still ate it all. The macaroni that came with the meal was a macaroni salad rather than the macaroni au gratin. I didn’t like the macaroni salad at all but I ate it anyway honestly because I was simply hungry. I’ll come back to try other non fried dishes on the menu.

The ladies working at the front are fantastic. One of them even stopped to dance with me for a mn even if it was their closing time on a Saturday night…… No rush, no bad attitude, only big smile and positive vibe. …….

If you’re looking for AUTHENTIC Haitian cuisine, full of flavor, look no further! Pearl is in fact the best in the game. There’s two locations, Margaret and Hollywood (which is a lounge). They have daily lunch specials as well. My family and I love coming here whenever we’re in the mood for Haitian food.

I went back and forth on leaving this review. I ordered about $70 worth of food through Uber eats from Pearl of the Island. I’ve noticed it’s hit or miss with the food lately. The last two Uber eats were definitely a miss, and for me to be spending this much, I would appreciate it if the food was always of quality. I ordered this fritay (picture posted), oxtail, and juice. The only thing I actually enjoyed from the order was the juice. The Fritay was very salty. I ate two pieces, and I left it for a day later, hoping that I could eat it and finally throughout today. The oxtail, I don’t even know how to explain, It just lacked flavor. I’m not sure if they have a new cook, but I definitely won’t be wasting any more of my money at this location.
