I’ve never been to Granbury before. It’s a cute little town with lots of places to choose from when you’re looking for a place to eat. I’m so glad we chose to eat here. It was soooo good! The banana pudding was AMAZING!

Nice, cozy, and cool place to share a good meal. My wife had the Smoked Turkey Plate with potato salad and pinto beans (excellent). I had the Rafael Special (grilled catfish with rice and crawfish etouffee). Everything was very flavorful, and the service was top notch. Bread was fabulous! Loved the banana pudding for dessert! Took a sliced brisket sandwich to go for a great late night snack! Thank you! We’ll be back!

This place never disappoints. You can’t go wrong with any of the sandwiches. The jalapeño buns are fabulous! Dine in for that retro feel roadside diner, or if you prefer fast take out, go that route as well.

This is our all time favorite place to eat in Granbury. The Sister Special is so so so good. We eat here any time we can. The staff is wonderful. The restaurant is clean and has a relaxed vibe. The outdoor seating is great on a not too hot day. We recommend this over any place in town.

Brisket was cooked properly, but not seasoned at all there is no jalapeño roll. It’s just regular toast with a very few small jalapeños slivers in it. First barbecue place I ever been to that did not sell Mac and cheese. Not much in the way of service if Everything is help yourself. Atmosphere? It’s just an old Sinclair gas station. Nothing special or historic about it. Was not allowed to substitute my two5 $ side dishes for one eight dollar baked potato. I got my barbecue sauce on the side, and once I tasted it, it was pretty nasty. Overall, the meal was not worth the value I paid for. Will not be a repeat customer.

The food is top notch. I love the Gumbo. Relax inside or outside on the patio. Highly recommend stopping in for a wholesome meal. These folks know how to cook. Located on Pearl St., Next to Square.

The turkey sandwich (Sister Special) was delicious, as was the side order of potato salad. The included pinto beans were in the good/average range. Total: $18.

The sandwiches here are to die for. The jalapeño roll is a MUST – don’t shy away from it, even if you don’t like jalapeño. It’s not spicy and is the most wonderful, soft bread. The turkey is juicy and sliced thick. The lemon dill sauce is delicious! Will definitely return here!

It’s a cute restaurant but the food we got was bad. We ordered bbq stuffed baked potatoes. The potato was obviously old, and there was very little bbq on it. That which was there didnt have much flavor. The potato was drowned in some processed cheese concoction that was not good. The soft drinks are canned and no refills are available. The location is however nice and seating is good. Their bean side dish is very nice and worth a visit.

Honestly, not sure why this place is rated so high. Must be because it’s in downtown of a historical place so people don’t have high expectation. Portion is alright, but price is too high for the quality. Brisket is underseasoned but edible. Ribs is very tender almost like pull pork, but their seasoning just makes it stinks. There’s no pork flavor beside slightly spicy. Their BBQ sauce is NOT BBQ sauce. It’s just seasoned marinara completes with the tomato after taste. BBQ but without the BBQ sauce, so if you don’t want flavor or want to dip your meat in marinara sauce, then you’ll enjoy it. Their pinto bean side is literally just boiled bean with no seasoning or anything else. Sausage was good, but it’s a high quality grocery store sausage kind of good. Cole slaw seem to be from the same grocery store, or chicken express. Even if you dine in, water is not free. Oh, and if you decide to share your plate, you get a $3 surcharge without any extra meat (I asked the waitress). 1 meat plate is $18, 2 meats is $24 before tax. Just order their special. We have gotten much better briskets from a truck stand at a nursery event. Lived in Granbury for 15years now, and I won’t be supporting this place again.
