I heard from several trusted sources that this was the best BBQ in Dallas, and it definitely didn’t disappoint. I shared a two meat plate and it was plenty of food. The highlights were the brisket and the slaw (although the sausage and the Mac were really good too). I also loved the assortment of fun soda options (the blueberry soda was tasty). We were there at 5 on a Saturday and it wasn’t crowded, but by the time we left most of the indoor tables were full and a line was starting to build.

The food was alright. After a long cue, the star dishes were out of order. So, I can’t say if it’s good or not. However, the rest that I tried wasn’t worth the waiting times that spent. You should arrive at least 2 hours before closing time if you wanna try the best dish here.

Loved the area of town. Very cool vibe. A decent line right at 11am. I had burnt tips and jalapeño sausage. The fried okra was awesome. The portion size wasn’t heavy but those combo choices were very filling. Overall good experience.

Amazing food and good service! I was skeptical about the mac n’cheese, but it exceeded my expectations. The ribs were delicious and the pulled pork was great. I would definitely come back if I was in the area. The price point was also reasonable and the location of this restaurant is in walking distance to other nearby activities. Parking was a chore, but there is a lot about three blocks away. All in all, superb experience.

I had the 2meat which was smoked perfectly! I tried the collard greens for my side. Not a fan of sweet greens. I was very disappointed that there was no barbecue Chicken offered on the menu, just fried chicken My daughter had the “Hot Mess” a sweet potatoe with beef now that was delicious! It was so filling. The brisket sandwich had 3 thick slices of meat that was so tender. Definitely a must try whenever in downtown Dallas. Oh. I also did a take out order of brisket, it did not seem that i got as much meat as dining in

I ate here on a day out in Dallas while exploring the city. I really wanted to eat BBQ while in Dallas and Pecan Lodge surpassed my expectations. I wanted to eat good BBQ in Dallas and ended up eating mouth watering, absolutely delicious BBQ. I ate the pulled pork sandwich with no sides and I would do it again. The pulled pork sandwich was a little sweet and even the bread was good. There are no vegetarian options besides the sides like mac and cheese, potato salad, cole slaw and so on. The sizes for sides are a single, a pint, and a quart. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some savory BBQ.

Pecan Lodge is everything that you would hope to find when looking for Texas BBQ. There’s a reason that they have over seven thousand reviews on Google. The smoke on the brisket was delightful. The Mac & Cheese could be a meal on its own. For me, the star of the show was the smoked turkey. It could be the best BBQ turkey that I’ve ever had. It was smoky with a nice peppery bark and was dripping with juice.
