Me and friends have been here before. The food was great and the drinks were very good. I do not recommend getting a steak from here. I was very disappointed about the amount I have spent on it but the items in the picture was very savory and satisfying to my pallet. The only thing is that I recommend your first time here, try the Nachos and 2 for 1 Margaritas!

Food was good but not great. Service was slow and not to mention this night it seemed like they put all blacks in one area. Said we he for 2. Girl said let me see if we have a table. As we walked through the restaurant we seen countless of tables available. Took us to the back corner then I seen why. I was like o they put us in the black section since we was black lol. Was funny to me but definitely didn’t tip for.that reason.

The service is very good. The food is not bad but it isn’t authentic Mexican food.

This place has a culture of not being customer oriented. And you can tell it’s the management because too many employees were nonchalant and weren’t trying to provide decent service. We met here on Friday as part of the first night of a large family reunion of people coming from throughout the US. Pedro’s was supposed to have the back area reserved for this large gathering. It was not reserved . And they had 1 waiter for us and we had at least 35+ family members showing up. We started leaving and went to eat elsewhere. This place is use to treating their local customers with poor service. But when you get people from out of town that are use to a better level of customer service and already skeptical about Mexican food in Opelousas, because I’m from Houston, some aren’t going to patronize a business and spend money for poor service. And that’s what happened. Many of us left Pedro’s for other eating establishments.

Tried this place twice. Never again. Extremely slow service. An hour after the server took our order she said she forgot to put in the order. Not to mention how loud the music was. I’m all about margaritas and good music. But you don’t have to have it piercing your ears.

There was a sign inside the restaurant. And 1 on the sign outside that says 2 for 1 margaritas from 2 to 7. We asked our waitress about it she said that was only for the small. We ordered 3 small margaritas, a soda, cheese dip, and 2 meals. When I lifted my glass to receive my free margarita, she brought me a larger one. We indicated that we wanted the other 2 free margaritas and they came out larger also. We handed her our card to cash out and was charged 139$. The manager said , we don’t do the 2 for 1s on Friday, we just forgot to take the sign down, but the waitress had told us that only the smalls were 2 for 1. He said that the card had already been run and he couldn’t fix it. They removed the sign in the restaurant, but as we left the outside sign still said 2 for 1. No mention of not on Friday was on any of the signs.

Great for small groups that want to have a good time and eat great mexican food! We arived late(about 45min to 1 hr before they closed), but that was fine. The waiter let us pick our table/booth and he was great. He looked possibly tired from a long work day but his service did not suffer. He was even joking around with my daughter. He asked her if she could draw a square with 3 lines. I won’t give any more than that away. I will just say that we laughed and probably wont forget the entire evening any time soon! We will go back there. Great food! Good times! Exceptional service!

Showed up about an hour and a half before closing… ordered fajita trio… received my plate with literally 3 small pieces of chicken, 3 small steak strips and 3 shrimp…. all for the wonderful price of $35.50…. asked the waitress about it and she told me that they now count the strips of meat for all meals and that this is the way it will be from now on. Lost a long time customer.

Once again Pedro’s hit the spot! I don’t drink, but they are currently renewing their liqueur license so they cannot sell alcoholic beverages for the next 6-7 days – per the signs that are posted. No margarita’s at this time. ☹️

Do yourself a favor and just stop here and eat. I’ve had to make a 6 hour drive to baton rouge twice now. Both times ive stopped in here and it is so delicious. I’m basic so i just got the happy plate. Its a plate of fries with steak on top. The steak is honestly one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Its seasoned and cooked to absolute perfection.
