We came into this bar after an early night at out at out in bay. This was one of two bars open still on the island. There were no seats at the bar so my husband and I sat at one of the high top tables. He went to kiss me and the bar “owner” or so she says, came up to us telling us to get a room and that she was going to call the police. Needless to say we decided to leave anyway and this woman followed us to the door to try to get the cops at the door to punish us and we told the officer what happened and he just laughed and said “you guys are good, have a good night”. Clearly this is a common issue with this bar “owner”.

Had a very very strange experience with the bartender/owner yesterday… My fiancé, his sibling, and myself were made to feel unwanted. We were the only people in the entire bar for most of our experience here. We had came for the strawberry shots (which are honestly pretty good) and had planned on staying for a little bit to talk amongst each other as this was the first bar we had stopped at. After our second drink (my first being a strawberry shot and my second drink being a water), the bartender handed my fiancé our check out of the blue. We felt like we were not welcome after this as we had not asked for the check and had told her prior we were planning on staying a bit. We had only been in the bar for about 15 minutes before she gave us the check. After we cashed out and got up to leave, the bartender stopped us and told my fiancé and I to come back when his sibling was “normal”. Not sure what that even means but it was so bizarre and off putting. For reference his sibling is neurodivergent, so sometimes he is not the best at socializing.

Rude bartender. Sat at bar and she never even acknowledged that my friends and I were even there. Another group walked and was served right away. How this place is still in business is beyond me. Should have known that it was a lousy bar because there was just a few other people in there. And one of them were extremely rude to us as well. The strawberry shots are not worth the bother.

The bartender had an attitude and wasn’t very friendly. They also didn’t have any menus so we left since we didn’t know what they served. Seems like it could be a cool place if they provided menus and had better service.

I had the Philly cheese steak brisket which was great. I had so much meat that the sandwich was falling apart! You have to order the right things, however. I was eating with my mom and she got the burnt ends… It was tender, but very salty and odd tasting. The drinks had a slight cleaner taste, so it’s best to stick with something stronger tasting like the pink lemonade. Service was friendly, but could have been a tad faster since we were the only family in the restaurant at the time.

The best food on the island. I recommend the chicken drum lollipops and the sirloin kabobs. They also have the best baked beans I’ve ever eaten. Sit out on the front porch with a beer and people watch. The owners and staff are awesome.

Rarely do things live to to expectations but Peepers “whole damn grill” did so and more. I visited in 2020 and saw this on the menu but there were 2 of us. For an entire year I thought about going back and we finally did. Every part of dinner was amazing. The people were super friendly (and the dog) and the value was outstanding. Due to staffing shortages, the bartender was taking drink & food orders for everyone directly at the bar. He then also served everyone their food at the inside & outside tables. He had a friendly & fantastic attitude through it all. We really enjoyed the fries! As for the pulled pork, it was so over-sauced that we couldn’t tolerate eating it.
