Pretty standard American diner fair that comes with a cute retro atmosphere. They have an activity page for kids that includes a scavenger hunt to look for things around the diner while you wait for food.

Stopped in twice on our way to and from the Cubs/Tigers game August 22-23 on the recommendation of our son Tyler. The ambiance is unique to say the least and I’d encourage you to stop in and see it and eat delicious food while you’re there. Stop in the morning for a huge selection of breakfast items, eggs and toast, skillets, omelets, pancakes, etc. Lots of choices from burgers to platters. Breakfast and lunch only, 6 am to 2 pm. We ate at breakfast around 10:30 on the way there and around 12:30 on the way back.

This diner is as American as an American diner can get. Big portions, good selection, central location in a pretty little town, and an experience of something real that is vanishing in a world where your only choices are often impersonal cookie-cutter national restaurant chains. In this place the waitresses often greet the customers by name. Peggy Sue’s is worth going out of your way for.

This is the quintessential diner. We had the piggie, French toast, multi-grain pancake, & veggie omelet made with egg whites. Our server was friendly & knowledgeable with recommendations. The prices are very reasonable. If you’re looking for the local diner vibe I would definitely say to give them a try.

I had a really nice time here with my family. Breakfast was very good and very cheap! I was impressed at the amount of food I received for the price! Staff was friendly and kept out drinks full. Loved the decor. Nice little spot!

We stopped in at Peggy Sue’s for lunch while visiting Indiana Dunes National Park. It is a small place in a small town with a great small-town community feel. The service was great and the people were friendly. We had cheeseburgers and they were great. Juicy with a nice bun. It was busy but the service was pretty fast as well.
