Everything was amazing. We managed to squeak in a table of 2 before the dinner rush and had a great time. The amberjack market fish was savory, crunchy, and delicious. My husband had the pork chop which was cooked perfectly. Chance was our server and we were a very quick table but he made sure to check on us so it was quite enjoyable. Highly recommended!

Exploring Boerne we discovered Peggy’s – pleasant surprise – beautifully restored setting, wonderful food and excellent service. My wife loves Lobster Rolls and said this was one of the best. We both love Chicken Fried Steak and agreed this one was very good (onion rings too). We were there when they opened for lunch, will definitely return to sample the dinner menu.

Based on previous reviews, we were looking forward to trying Peggy’s. We were only 2 of 6 people in the whole restaurant at 7pm. The food was overpriced for what you get, and the service was poor. We had the Porkchops and Crabcakes, which were ok. However, when we finally received our bill, the waiter had charged us an extra $36 for the salmon dinner. When I brought it to his attention, he just smirked and said he would take it off. Was not the romantic evening we planned. Would not recommend.

Good food. The atmosphere was quaint for two. The music playing in the background was modern rock which sounded like 70s and 80s. I would have preferred something less fast pace to match the ambience. The service was good. The waiter recommended a wonderful bottle of wine that paired well with our food. The desert was for sure the grand finale. Great tasting tiramisu cheesecake with coffee.

Peggy’s was delightful! They have the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had! So tender!! Cream gravy was perfect, too! The host was so kind to give my husband a birthday card when he learned we were celebrating! Highly recommend!!!

This place was a big disappointment! Super cute location and building although I almost gagged on the food. I ordered the honey bourbon glazed chicken lollipops which were served room temperature. I asked for another order as I thought they may have been fried and sat for too long. The waiter came back and indicated they were cooked properly. The grease was literally dripping from them so they had been more recently fried and then were served room temperature. They offered to warm up the greasy but cold chicken. I ended up throwing them away after being required to purchase the 4 greasy blobs for $16–absolutely DISGUSTING!! Recommend that this otherwise charming place hire new cooks!

Such a great place! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and even sent pictures of our food to our kids to make them jealous. If you go, have the crab cakes or the shrimp and grits. You won’t be sorry.

Husband and I made reservations for brunch on Sunday while on vacation in Kerrville. This was our first time here and brunch was amazing. Service was incredible and food delicious. Enjoyed Eggs Benedict, French toast, Peggy’s standard and mimosas. Will definitely be back.

We throughly enjoyed our lunch here. Found this place on line while traveling through the area. We sat out on the porch and the service was very good. We ordered all kinds of stuff and some of it was to go. I can’t say I liked all the recipes, the pot pie was biscuits on a bowl of soup with celery and not much else. The crab cake on a fried green tomato was perfect. Served with greens and dressing. The fish tacos were as expected, but not the best I have ever had. The deserts were huge! Would gladly return to try more selections.
