Seriously my favorite place to go in Tyler foe Chinese food and I HATE THE MALL, so that says a lot. The portions are always good even though lately you can tell they have started to cut back some of the amount of food they give you. For the price point and the flavor it’s a great option to try out

We had to ask for soy sauce several times before the lady gave us some. There was another couple there and when they finished eating she went and picked up the packets of soy sauce they didn’t use.

I was told to try this restaurant by my husband because he previously had a good experience with the quality of food during his visit at the mall. I am a fan of quick asian cuisine (typically going to Panda Express) so I thought I’d try. The first time we came, it was 15 minutes until closing. The hours weren’t updated on Google and it was a Sunday when the mall closes early. There was a short line. Barely any food left, and the workers were very hasty and short with customers- giving customers minimal of the remaning food, but still charging full price. I thought this was interesting. My husband still purchased food, but I passed with the intention to come back at an earlier time with hopes to have a better experience. I’m huge on quality customer service. The 2nd time I returned was a few days later, 3 hours until closing time. There was a short line again upon arrival. Upon my turn to order, the server was very “rushy” and very short. I was told I could only choose noodles or fried rice (not half and half like at Panda Express) so I substituted on of my side selections with noodles instead. The server was very adamant to let me reiterate that to me after I informed her that’s what I wanted to do. I purchased 3 selection meals for my husband and I. I was not asked if I was a new customer, or if I wanted to try any food before selection no matter the size of the line. Nor was the server willing to compensate my husband extra food for the lack luster amount he was given the last visit when he paid full price. (Will post photos) I ordered to go. Our portion sizes weren’t still as much like in the photos of others that came here in the other reviews. The food was good, but not worth the trouble of getting out of my car or going through the uncomfortable exchange with the servers again, and not giving me what I want for the price. Tender chicken, not much variety. Noodles and rice are good. Overall, I probably won’t be coming here again. I love to patronize where I feel my dollar is valued and appreciated above anything. I don’t care how good your food is. How you treat your customers is everything. I love supporting small businesses, but it has to be worth it with quality service. Therefore I will be going elsewhere. Best wishes to whomever is reading this reading this review and decides to try the food still!

Not worth it for price ,taste and size. Don’t let you split rice and noodles. Food was very basic in tasting. White sauce which is extra tasted just like thousand island sauce. Rangoons under cooked. Serving size is underwhelming. Save your self from disappointment. For a good combo plate , just go to China star.

DO NOT EAT HERE UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO GET SICK ON PURPOSE!!! I work in the mall, and the two years I have been here so far, this place has consistently made me ill *literally* every time. They may have changed their name from Mandarin to Pei Wei, but their “chef” has stayed the same and continues to serve burnt, disgusting slop. I had better Chinese food in elementary school lunch rooms then what this place serves! It’s honestly better to go hungry then suffer the sick after from here.

Terrible! This is NOT Pei Wei. Nothing is like a true Pei Wei … Precooked food, very low grade! Panda Express beats this place all to pieces. Don’t waste your money! If this is owned by Pei Wei they need to do something about this!
