We visited Pei Wei in 5285 E Broadway Tucson after a trip to At Home and was blown away by the exceptional dining experience. The food was delicious – the orange chicken, mongolian beef, and spicy drunken noodles were all expertly prepared and packed with flavor. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile that made it stand out, and the portion sizes were generous.

Came in on a Sunday. Was not very busy but hard to find a clean table. Bathrooms were not clean either. Seems to be plenty of staff for the amount of business. My crab wantons came out fast, hot and fresh. Same with my entree! Recommended for food, but they should care about cleanliness more. Would be 5 stars otherwise!

Tonight’s meal was less than good. The Miso salad had 1 – 1/2 tomato and bruised lettuce. The teriyaki tofu and vegetables was missing the peppers but was loaded with pea pods. There were at least 3 different sizes of carrots from thin and small rounds to thick 1/2 dollar size chunks. The worst part about the tofu and vegetables dish – ordered for a vegetarian – was the chunk of chicken in the dish. The Mongolian beef, ordered with no scallions, had scallions but had a note on the lid that they held the cilantro – cilantro isn’t listed as an ingredient…? To top it all off, the lids on the sauces were put on the wrong containers.
