As someone who has eaten peking duck a lot it was honestly not that great. The peking duck wrap was basically tortilla wrap (it was wayy too thick & tasted super bready). The duck itself was also not that great and too soggy. The skin wasn’t crisp at all and honestly very disappointing. The set up seemed very westernized (for lack of better terms) and didn’t have traditional peking duck setup / taste. The duck soup was also very mediocre(at best). Was quite disappointed with everything to be honest. Given the fact that it’s called Peking Duck House I would expect them to have better duck and for them to specialize in it although it was super disappointing and I wouldn’t recommend nor return. Only redeeming quality is that service is ok.

I’ve only ever been to Peking Duck House twice (I live out of state), but both times have been absolutely incredible! Ever since my first visit here back in 2016 it has ruined all other Chinese restaurants for me… in the best way possible, no one, and I mean NO ONE has come close to how amazing and incredible the food at Peking Duck House is. The Paradise Beef is the greatest bit of Chinese cuisine I have ever consumed. I only wish I had something this good in Maryland. I will certainly make this a must visit location on all future trips to NYC!

The restaurant serves traditional Chinese food and been in the midtown for years. Most people came here for their famous Peking duck. It is good, nothing unique or creative. Just very authentic and old-fashion Peking duck. The atmosphere is always nice and friendly.

We have a Peking Duck Christmas Eve tradition, and this year the first time we’ve been to Peking Duck House in Midtown. We thought that since the location was in Midtown, the menu and ambiance would be more elevated than it’s Chinatown location. Unfortunately, it was just more bland.

The duck was spectacular, right out of the oven (not hanging in some window for who knows how long!), carved tableside and served with cakes and onions. I’ve Bern to Beijing about 20 times and this is the closest I have had in the US. Will be back.

Having Peking Duck at the 53rd Street Peking Duck House has been a tradition for many years when visiting New York. The host and staff are always so gracious and welcoming. Not only is the Peking Duck the finest in the WORLD, but the service, white gloves and all, cannot be beat. Wonderful food, wonderful service and always a spectacular experience. Thank you, Marla Ottenstein

This was my first time at the Peking Duck House and I was not disappointed. Despite never trying Peking duck before, my date and I decided it was what we wanted try. This meal was fantastic! The duck was crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. It was complimented with their hoisin sauce and fresh scallions.
