We happened to be in Douglas and went to Peking House for lunch. The buffet was above average for this type of food. Everything I got was fresh and my husband ate a big meal with no complaints (he’s picky) The restaurant was clean and so were the bathrooms. The waitress and hostess were friendly and the service was great.

The food is hot and delicious. My only disappointment is the candied chicken. Lately it is hard and not as fresh. This place is always busy. It would be nice if they had a bigger building. We are there every week!

1. Customer service needs a HUGE overhaul! Didn’t know about serving sizes for take out and instead of being polite and explaining to me what they are and letting me actually ask questions the lady on the phone starts yelling at me and cutting me off. Whole time I was just trying to ask to order more food because I didn’t order enough the first time.

I had the orange chicken, and this is a first for this recipe… Who likes sliced up orange peels, making them appear to be bell peppers or some type of edible veggie throughout the dish? I was avoiding them at first because they looked like carrots and I’m not really a fan of cooked carrots, but after my sixth piece of orange chicken that tasted a little more like fried orange peel, I decided to just mix up the sauce with my rice and try that. terrible.
