Tried this place for the first time… Bought crab ragoon and vegetable dumplings… The dumplings have a foul smell (yes vegetable smell different…but these…omg) and when tasted, they tasted old.. non-edible… completely. Couldn’t get to even swallow. The crab ragoon were could be better.

Was recommended this place by friends and family. The staff was very nice and friendly. My family enjoyed their food, but my food, which was Egg Foo Young, was overcooked and inedible. Wasted $14 on the dish just throw it away.

We used to be regular diners years ago. Today’s visit was much different. It has changed and in a bad way. The crispy scallops were terrible. Nothing crispy about them at all. Also got an order of eggplant to go. Which I tasted when I got home. It did have an eggplant taste at all and parts of it tasted burnt. Nor planning on returning. Someone needs to be in the kitchen watching how food is being prepared and served.

We ate here last night for the first time. I was soooo looking forward to a nice dine in. Chinese dinner. I ordered the crispy spicy chicken and fried rice. Sorry to say the chicken was extremely Salty and the rice was dry and flavorless. I was disappointed that they didn’t offer us hot tea. Even Ling’s Buffet does that as soon as you’re seated. I was also disappointed that they didn’t have the wide crispy noodles. I love to eat then with duck sauce. My husband ordered the General Tso chicken mild. The meat was tender but the sauce was still extremely hot and Salty. Why restaurants put so much salt in everything is beyond my comprehension. The waitress was nice.

The Peking house has been in Lakeland in its current location since I was a kid so it is at least 50 yrs old. The food has been better. But is still not bad the interior has not changed in the 50 years that I can tell. It is a go to place for a sit down Chinese lunch or dinner.

We have lived in Lakeland since 1996, and the Peking House restaurant is our favorite Chinese food in town. Their 3 pepper corn chicken is loved by my entire family, and I highly recommend it! We have never been disappointed with the quality, portion size, and taste of their dishes. Enjoy!!

Peking House stands apart from all the other Chinese places which are almost identical. I’ve been enjoying this place for over 20 years now. The service is always top notch and there are several good items on the menu. But their Hot and Spicy chicken is absolutely to die for! I get a craving for it at least monthly and just have to have it. My son loves their Bourbon Chicken and my daughter is addicted to their orange chicken. Good eggrolls too.

Best Chinese restaurant around. Food comes out fresh, hot, and tasty. I do miss the pre-covid menu however. But still lots of choices, and quite a few spicy hot ones!

Everyone I talk to raves about this place, so I had to try it. Now I know why. The food is outstanding, service is great. Don’t know what kind of Asian voodoo magic they’re doing in the kitchen but keep it up. Definitely recommend this place.
