I had bookmarked this place for a while and finally got a chance to try it last night with my pals. Called to make a reservation and realized that parties smaller than 6 could not make one which I am okay with considering the size of the restaurant it was a non issue we were seating within 15 minutes of us getting there.

My mom wanted to go to this restaurant for her birthday. When I arrived I parked in the private lot. I walked in and saw my mom at the bar. The restaurant was super cute, with indoor and outdoor seating! Jackson was our bartender, and he was good! My mom got a mai tai, and boy was it strong! For appetizers, we got the chicken and beef skewer, and the chicken was tasty! Then I got the shrimp lo mein, and that was really good. My mom got the chicken and broccoli and I tasted the broccoli. The sauce was delicious! It was seasoned so well. The restaurant got really busy after a while. We waited a bit then got the check. All in all we had a good experience!

I really wanted to give the place 5 stars. If it was just based on the food then it would be. The chung king beef is honestly one of the best dishes I have ever had from any asian restaurant. Everything else with exception of the dessert was amazing…. That being said the service is horrendous… My wife and I were celebrating our Anniversary yesterday and she found a squashed fly under her glass…. Even though most people would call it quits we have eaten at restaurants all over and we have seen much worse….the real issue that we had was not only the wait but we felt as if we were being rushed. The moment we were taking our last bite the workers were there on top of us waiting to take our plate. Not to mention we had the noisiest party ever next to us yesterday… it was like a real housewives of nj show next to us. They were so loud an obnoxious. Outside all of this the food was outstanding.

Extremely busy so would get reservation if more than 4. The bar area is nice but a little small . The food is top notch. Best Chinese dishes around. And the prices for the food are a touch high for Chinese dinners but the quality and the service makes up for it. Drinks on the other hand are a little pricey. Expect NYC cocktail prices. I know they are beginning done renovations and hopefully it will add dogs space for bigger bar n more seating

I love this spot! The service is always quick but good. The food is so amazing & bursting with flavor! Their martinis are excellent as well! The fried dumplings, rock shrimp & sweet & sour pineapple chicken are my go to!

On this day, before Father’s Day, my wife and I went here for dinner. It opens at 4pm and we were in. I was impressed by the decor and the clean look.

I’m not really sure about dining in, but as far as the quality of take out, the food isn’t the same as it used to be. The quality of the chicken used to be better. I’ve noticed this happening over the last 6 months at least. We haven’t ate in the restaurant in a while so I can’t speak on that. I’ve been a solid customer for 15 years and have been familiar with the taste of my usual dishes here and noticed a huge difference..

My daughter has always wanted to try this place, so we finally went to dinner there before she left for college. We had an amazing meal! We started off with the Cantonese wonton soup, which was delicious (the broth wasn’t too salty either). Then we shared two dishes. The skirt steak over ginger lo mein was our favorite because the meat was very tender (medium rare) and the sauce had a slightly sweet taste. We also had the jumbo sea scallops and shrimp. The sea scallops were cooked to perfection. My only negative take away was that the sauce on the pineapple fried rice was a bit too salty for my taste, but I prefer less salt in my foods. I had a mai tai ($15) and it was very good. We had an amazing experience, and we look forward to returning on special occasions (the cost is expensive on my single mother budget).

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food this is the place! The food is always fresh, hot, delicious and never drowned is sauces or salty. The fillet mignon egg rolls and dumplings were a big hit as an appetizer and dinner was excellent.

Hands down, best Chinese restaurant in New Jersey. You will pay a premium for the food but, for sure is worth it. Great spot for a dinner date or a family celebration. Once you’ve had Peeking Pavilion, you’re not gonna want any other Chinese food again.
