I seriously hadn’t sat down in the dining room and ate in for 25 years. The food is delicious and consistent. The service was amazing. The decor could use freshen up for sure but don’t let that matter at all. Free pots of tea and courteous service made it all. Highly recommend if you’re around in the area.

We visited this location for a birthday dinner. We were seated immediately. The server was a bit melancholy and monotone. She took our orders and got everything correct. The food was good. I ordered duck and I got a healthy portion, as did my guests. The server didn’t check on us often but we got through the meal just fine. Bill paying was just fine but we had to find our own bags to take our remaining food. I think we ate at the last hour and that could have been why service was not so attentive. My mother and father have visited the location frequently and have spoken well about the location. I would return again with my family but I would hope for more solid service.

We had our dinner here. The prices were very reasonable and the portion sizes were good. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Our table was a little small for the party size, but that was made up for by the flavors and freshness of the food we had. I will be eating here again, this is a hidden gem.

We have been multiple times, our waiter was not the greatest this time (slow, didn’t keep up with drinks and kept forgetting items we asked for) but he seemed pretty new. Food has ALWAYS been good and served quickly, we have always been seated immediately and never rushed out!

DISGUSTING! I’ve never had food that taste so nasty. The broccoli taste unwashed! Chicken was fat a slimy. Food had no seasoning. I’ve never seen chicken and broccoli with dark orange sauce. I should’ve known it was going to be bad when I seen the green beans sitting on the bar right next to some high lighters and the owner. Unacceptable!

Peking Restaurant in Mechanicsville has THE BEST Eggdrop soup EVER!! NO other Chinese restaurant can measure up to it!! Their food is ALWAYS fresh & you will be happily stuffed because they don’t skimp on their servings. Wonderful atmosphere for any occasion.
