The best fried chicken i have had in a long time. Everything was fried perfectly. The roasted Brussels sprouts were so good! Last but not least, their biscuits are to die for!! They are so good. Order the bucket of chicken, I promise you it will not disappoint!

We were at a nearby pub and needed a snack. We popped into Penny Reds and it truly exceeded my expectations! My chicken was juicy without being greasy. It was made with quality ingredients. Will definitely come back for the bucket next time.

Seen this place and decided to try it. I only had the chicken sandwhich and not the fried chicken. However the sandwich was very basic and nothing special. Definitely wouldn’t get it again, however the fried chicken looks good. The fries were great.

food was just as i expected and then some. chicken had a perfect crispy texture and seasoned well throughout. a nice sauce variety was offered. biscuits had a soft doughy middle and flaky outside that i enjoyed. next time i will get the biscuits dry because i wasn’t sure expecting the dunk’d ones to be so suit. fries were delicious and complimented the chicken wonderfully. atmosphere was very aesthetically pleasing.

Fast and efficient service. The woman that took our order was friendly. The sandwich was delicious and looked appetizing as well. The biscuits were unique for sure. I would give the place 5 stars if you could order just 2-3 pieces of chicken. Also, the potato salad needed some salt, and I am NOT a salt person. Overall, this place has good food and is worth the money.

I would totally recommend after a night of drinking. This wouldn’t be my main dinner spot. The biscuits are the best thing they have. The chicken is just okay. I definitely didn’t feel great after eating it. Love their variety of sauces.. The coleslaw is delightfully different… Very peppery instead of sweet. I loved the chill environment.

Great late night spot when you are craving fried chicken. Can’t say it the best I’ve every had, but hits the spot when you are ending a late night out on the town. Great atmosphere next door (access is open to each other inside) where you can eat your fried chicken and drink beer at The Brakeman!

Fantastic little spot downtown for fresh fried chicken. The chicken was hot and crispy and delicious. The biscuits were flaky and tasty. I really enjoy their desserts, too. I think they switch them up frequently. I enjoyed the aesthetic and branding of the containers, too. You can tell they take pride in their food.

I’ll go back to try the chicken sandwich but the bone in chicken wasn’t good. It’s too hyped up and too much in price not to live to it. I’ve had better chicken at Popeyes or KFC. The drunken biscuits were good but need salt. Their Brussels sprouts were too sweet for my liking.
