Most inauthentic diner I have been to in recent time. Everything was prepackaged and / or frozen. The eggs were terrible, and the pancakes were chewy. All of this and it took almost an hour to get served with only one other customer waiting for food. Not a place I would recommend.

Called in an order and was told it would be ready in 20 min. We waited 15 min before leaving the house and when we got there thwy hadn’t even started our order. The hamburger wasn’t done it was still raw and we had to add onion ourselves because it wasn’t on it like I ask

The food was great, beyond my expectation. The waitress took our order… then cashed us out. But the cook got the tip. Not only a great cook, but awesome customer service. He was who brought us our food, made sure we had everything, even extra napkins, forks, and brought the mayo the waitress didn’t bring. He also refilled my ice tea. His smiling and polite attitude was refreshing.

It’s not your typical ‘greasy spoon’. The service was outstanding and the down home atmosphere was welcoming and much appreciated. Staff were excellent and hard working. I had a make your own omelette with hash browns and my dad had the ranch breakfast. Both dishes were served quickly and the coffee was great as well.

We were in Glendive for 3 nights and didn’t go to Pennys because it was lower rated than other places. We were so disappointed in the places we chose for dinner the first two nights that we gave Pennys a try. Wonderful experience!! Best food in Glendive! Fried chicken, Chili, Burgers were great and the Shakes are amazing. I wish we hadn’t let reviews guide our choices the first few nights. Penny’s is definitely worth going!

We just left Makoshika State Park and were feeling hungry, so we stopped by here for some food. The Fried Pickles were really good, and it tasted like it was some kind of a cornmeal batter, which was delicious. We also had a chocolate malt, but it definitely needed more malt powder, or I think maybe they forgot the malt powder. They give you a lot of shake though, so that is nice. We also had the egg breakfast meal, but instead of meat, they gave us 2 extra eggs, which was really sweet of them. Everyone working here is super friendly. The over easy eggs were perfect, and the sourdough toast and hashbrowns were fine. They are open 24 hours, but between 11:30pm and 7am they only do take out, and not dine in.
