If I could rate this diner higher, I absolutely would. Made a last minute decision to stop here and boy am I happy I did. Little did I know, nestled behind all of the bustling hubbub of a busy town is a wonderful classic diner! My daughter and I stopped in for lunch. It was not busy but that’s okay, hopefully after this review more business will come in. Like stepping back in time, you have the booths and you have the seats up at the counter. Oldies music on the radio. The cook was a joy to talk to. The food was excellent. Menu had so many delicious sounding dishes it was hard to choose from. Vintage decor on the walls. Very clean. You can get italian sodas here and old fashioned milkshakes. They do have a loyalty program as well! They have a diner like this back in Pennsylvania my grandmother would take me to so the nostalgia was extra pleasant. My daughter loved the diner atmosphere as well! Definitely my new go-to spot, hands down. I can’t wait to go back!

This just might be the most disgusting place I have sat down to eat in, ever. The staff was friendly but you stick to everything you touch. There is food on the floor, walls and menus. This place has the potential to be amazing but it’s just a big swing and a miss for now. They have two employees sitting by the door to the travel lodge and a single employee taking orders, cooking the food and then serving it. This place scares me and I can’t imagine anything that would get me to come back again.

Great authentic diner food. *Adding to my original review* I went here with my husband and sons one late night we were visiting Cheyenne and just pulled into town. They all raved over the burgers, fries and onion rings. Google says they are open 24 hours, and many restaurants in Cheyenne close early, so if you are looking for great food late at night, this is definitely an option!

Penny’s was the lone bright spot of my recent visit to Cheyenne. I stayed at the adjacent hotel for 2 nights during which it snowed and the reason for my visit was cancelled and I was in a lousy mood. I ended up getting food at Penny’s 3 times, twice dining in in the middle of the night and mid morning and once a milkshake to go that I accidentally spilled while I was paying. I didn’t get the name of the guy who made my milkshake and remade it at no charge or the front desk guy who helped me clean up the mess, but they were awesome at a time I really needed it. Ty and Steven manned the grill and served me during my 2 dine in visits and both of them were pleasant and great at their jobs, efficiently handling the restaurant mostly by themselves, but each time I was there the hotel clerk at the desk also pitched in to help and were very friendly.

Management NEEDS to help these poor people out, we had a “server” who was actually hotel staff, a “cook” who was a housekeeper. Because the actual cook didn’t come in. The “server” we had was absolutely stressed, but she was doing good. (As best as humanly possible due to the circumstances)

This diner filled me with nostalgia for a simpler time. I love the music from the 50s, the period posters and decals hanging on their walls. The food was decent and I’m super grateful they’re open 24/7. Hope this place stays open forever!

This place was great. Real 50s diner feel. The walls are covered in white bords. They let kiss draw on them.

The service is terrible, staff is rude and no one was wearing a hair net. The chef kept scratching himself all over and the whole place, floor seats and table were all sticky. They don’t have menus, and my phone won’t scan QR codes. They acted like I don’t deserve to eat there if I can’t access their fake menus. It took me longer to wait for someone to come take my payment than it took for me to get food and eat. Very horribley filthy disgusting place and untrained awful employees.

Went in after they re-opened to the public and the lady who was the waitress and cook cross contaminated everything by handling trash and then cooking our food she never changed her gloves and kept touching everything in the restraunt then she was running all over the restraunt looking for things that she needs to cook the food… The service sucked no refills on drinks no is everything good nothing and she kept watching a video or whatever on her phone when she wasn’t doing anything and didn’t seem to know how to cook the food I have been a repeat customer for a good while now but after tonight never again… Penny’s has gone way down hill from what it used to be I am sad to say that I would never recommend Penny’s to anyone if they asked me for a good place to eat it won’t be Penny’s
