We ordered takeout last week from People’s Choice and it was incredible. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, and they were running low on shrimp so offered to make a combo curry shrimp and salmon which was fantastic. All the sides we tried were delicious—it’s hard to pick a favorite, but the collard greens were by far the best I’ve ever eaten. Portions were HUGE but we still managed to try the banana pudding for dessert. Definitely the right choice, it was just as good as the rest of the meal. We will definitely be back for pickup or dine-in once that’s reopened!

I had jerk chicken for the first time last month in N.J. Since, I have been back home in Rochester I have been trying to replicate the experience. I went to People’s Choice today. The owner is so sweet and welcoming. That is so lacking in customer service of today. You’re usually met with a gnarl and disdain. I’ll definitely be back just for the customer service.

Shabby dirty looking interior. Stale old rice. Burnt tasting fake jerk chicken. Salty cabbage. Poor unprofessional customer service. All the prices on the menu are wrong. Extremely high priced food for the quantity and the quality. Knock off Jamaican food. I wouldn’t recommend.

Lovely little restaurant. The owner was at the front. Didnt know what to get so she suggested the $5 Jerk meal. Very good and the sauce that she had was amazing. You got to make sure to get that on your chicken.

I really wanted to write a review based on this particular experience I had. I came here a couple of months ago looking to only get some Patties because people’s choice only accepts cash and no card so I figured that’s all I had enough to get. The owner was so kind she insisted on giving me a meal. I guess they really are what they promote themselves to be ! The food was great, and I love to support great people !
