Freeway visible on exit 49 in Castle Rock. Ample parking and good handicap access. We were seated immediately and drinks were ordered. The restaurant was about 25% capacity. Staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered fish and chips, clam chowder and a chef salad. The fish and chips arrived hot and looked good. The batter was a little heavy and was not a crispy as hoped but the fish was cooked well. Fries could have been cooked longer. The tartar sauce was tasty. The clam chowder was good but a little thick. The chef salad was presented well and both bleu cheese and ranch dressing were served. The house Bleu cheese dressing was very good but the ranch was weak, thin and had little taste. Overall, this restaurant is clean, provides a generous portion for there dishes and has a light atmosphere. It is worth a visit.

Great little spot to get a good home cooked meal after spending the afternoon at Mt St Helen’s and the Observatory hiking and photographing.

Old fashioned greasy spoon. Chicken fried steak is definitely homemade. Country gravy wasn’t bad. Pancakes were way too blah. They were big though. Sausage links were excellent.. The most memorable part of this experience is the customer service.

Not a 5 star dining experience, but easily 5 star for what you expect from a local restaurant. Clean, food is well prepared, staff was friendly, service was quick. Wife and I each had a different type of burger, son and grandma had fish and chips. No complaints.

I enjoyed my meal greatly! This is a mom and pop place that offers real food for regulars and travelers. I enjoy supporting small-local business. The bacon was exceptional…thinlck and well cooked! Thank you!

I have conflicting thoughts about Peper’s because the general atmosphere and menu selection wasn’t anything outside of what you could get at thousands of other diners across the country…except that it was done correctly. The inside felt clean without being overly sterile, the food all came out hot and cooked to perfection (if you order your eggs basted you know how much this means), and the service was friendly with the exact right amount of attention. Is the food gourmet? No. Would I go back? Absolutely.
