I had a different experience today and I have changed my review. I don’t know what happened, but my chicken wings looked nothing like the chicken breast usually did. The grease had to have been dirty because the wings were almost black, even with the Chipotle sauce and I had 2 big fries and 1 inch crumbs. I am so disappointed, Mr. Jack tried to redo the wings. They were OK, but that grease made the second batch dark as well. That’s why they get a 2 star because he tried, but nothing like my previous experiences. Since Moving to the Great Town of Portal, GA. Pepper Jack’s since 2014. Richard and the Entire staff here have been nothing but kind to Our Family. Mom Loved it especially there Hamburger Steak With Gravy Onion Rings or French fries and God the Cole slaw can’t forget about that. Madonna and the Rest of the Lady’s always has my Cocos hot and ready my Chuiahah will only Eat Pepper Jack’s wings Like her Daddy. A great place to call in your Order and swing thru the drive thru and pick it up. Or dine in in and Very nice Rustic Dining room. We have eaten pepper Jack’s atleast 10 times in the past 3 months. The wings and tenders are spot on. I like crunchy fries so I specify that because they are soft to my liking. My wife had the fried flounder Friday night and it was delicious. The sandwiches and salads are always a nice option. I don’t think you can beat ther food for the price. Good food, friendly staff, reasonably priced… total hit with our family.

This place is a little out of the way if you don’t live right in Portal, but it is well worth the drive out there. The food was so good, and you just can’t beat their prices either. I was very surprised at the quality of everything, and the staff was nice and patient with everyone that was there.

Usually the food is pretty good, not today. I got half of a large chicken salad when I asked for large and they forgot my oil and vinegar on the side. This is not the 1st time this has happened. Depends on who is working.
