My family joined us this trip and everything was perfect. Thank you Nicole for your outstanding service and welcoming smile. We drive up from Rochester Hills at least every other week for a few years now. The food, the service and the welcoming staff are always top notch! We enjoy a wide range of menu items and are never disappointed! The deck was full of very satisfied customers…it was a happy time for all! I recommend Pepper Joe’s for any occasion or just to relax and enjoy a meal!

My family from out of town came with me for dinner and we were not impressed. The drinks were good and timely, but our dinner order was not entered timely. As our wait progressed, our server indicated that the kitchen was behind and that it would be another 15 minutes for our meals. We asked our server to cancel the order. A manager came over and delivered a very nasty message indicating for future reference, a dine in order is usually never allowed to be cancelled. We were then told that our order hadn’t even be prepared. Such a disappointing experience especially on a Friday night

Very nice restaurant with outdoor seating on the Black River. Best artichoke dip I have ever had with the addition of roasted tomatoes. Entrees were excellent, and portions were just right with little to no left overs (not small, but also not two meals). Bloody Mary was spicy just like it should be. Staff was very attentive and polite. They also have several options for the kids.

A delightful evening at Pepper Joes. Great food, inexpensive drinks (we’re from Chicago) and an amazing service from “knee brace”. Our food was tasty and “knee brace” helped us decide on the huge selection. She made recommendations on our sides and salads (no balsamic) and was bubbly and vivacious. “Knee brace” could take a joke and dish one back faster than the food. The bus boy was almost as funny and overall made the night good fun. If I’m ever back in Saint Clair I’ll make sure to drop into Pepper Joes.

Great food. Service with a smile, and plenty to choose from on the menu. Good comes out hot and fast, and the portions are large. You can sit inside, or sit outside on the deck alongside the river. The bar has seating for 6 or 7. Great place to enjoy a cozy atmosphere and nice meal.

Relaxing atmosphere. We sat outdoors on the deck. Up close view of all of the boats going by on the river. Our waitress Emma was very pleasant and made great suggestions for lunch. If you are looking for a spot to just relax and enjoy a drink and a great meal outdoors, Pepper Joes is a good choice! Order the Michigan Cherry Margarita and the Perch Sando, or one of their burgers and a Guinness…you will be glad you did!!

To future customers of this establisment recently went to this restaurant very nice atmosphere, but the service was very poor, waited for a table for 45 minutes after the waitress took her order, waited another hour and a half for food which never arrived. I asked the waitress what happened to our food? She had never put her ticket in, no apologies order a appetizer before the meal artichoke dip that was like soup. It was terrible very disorganized asked to speak to a manager twice no one came to our table no way to run a business left without even eating went to the local Burger King to get a hamburger pretty pathetic , I am speaking from experience customer beware

The staff was nice, the drinks were mediocre, and the food was terrible. There was more seasoning on my plate than on the chicken or pasta that I ordered. The atmosphere was pleasant, but there was a 30 minute wait. There’s better dining experiences for the money.
