First time at Pepper on 23, and it won’t be our last! From the time you walk in, you’re greeted by friendly employees, Jailynn and Shelly; who make you feel at home. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer, and they were delicious! You don’t get many places that make the thin onion rings, and these were made with red onions and a very delicious batter! I had the seafood platter, it had shrimp, oysters, catfish, hush puppies, corn nuggets and fries. The batter is so flavorful, it was delicious! Husband had a hamburger poboy and loved it too. We can’t wait to go back and try different items on their menu. I ordered the white chocolate bread pudding to go, and it’s amazing! It’s moist and delicious! Thank you Jailynn and Shelly for making this a great first time experience, can’t wait to go back and try other items!

I’m a truck driver I stopped in and they treated me like Family.. they were actually closed and went out of their way to make sure I had something good to eat when I was out of options for food. Staff was courteous and the pork chop and red beans and rice was delicious … thanks alot

Very good home cooked food with reasonable prices. We got an order of fried okra as an app, some of, if not the best I’ve ever had. I got the club with fries, it was stuffed with ham and turkey, and the fries were great as well. My wife got the hamburger steak, with mashed potatoes and smothered green beans. It was great as well. We will be back!

Food was great, even the simple stuff like the tartar sauce was better than most places I’ve never had. Service was also outstanding. Despite being a little short staffed, food came quick and they checked on us regularly. It’s a humble place, but definitely going to come back again to try more items in the menu.

Yummy home cooking. Friendly staff. Yuppies should note this is NOT gourmet high cuisine. We had hamburger steak and grilled shrimp salad. Fresh homemade food down to crispy light NOT packaged croutons, salad dressing with tasty shrimp in every bite.
