While home visiting my parents, I decided to have my final lobster meal at Peppers Landing, which I’ve never been to before. I was shocked when I received the check, having to pay $62.00 for their “lazy lobster”. I was originally torn between the lobster roll or the lazy lobster, but the server said the latter would be more meat. It came with an ear of corn that looked like it had been pre-cooked earlier in the day, a very small portion of bland cole slaw, and a store bought roll. I understand you are paying “Market Pricing”, and that there’s more labor involved for having the cook / chef remove the meat from the shell. (I am able to complete the same work in under 5 minutes). However, who sets these Market Prices? Later that evening I went to High Tide in Brewer. They had a similar dish on their menu called Lazy Lobster. Their price was $36.00. Such a bitter experience in my home State. I can’t imagine they get locals coming in for their lobster. Sad.

First of all, Alexis, the bartender was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. The scallops were delicious! The maple smokey sauce was not overpowering and left a nice aftertaste. My only minus was the basmati rice side. Delicious, but perhaps unnecessary? I added some butter and black pepper. The blueberry pie was on point.

Great lobster dinner and reasonable. My companions loved their clam strips & bellies, and the clam chowder was first-rate.

Nice place with an awesome view that you might ever get in Orono and Old town. The service was very good and didn’t had to wait much. There were no delay in the service of food as well. The food was tasty but the seafood was mostly fried which I would like to see changed about the place. The braised pork is one of mine and friends favorite but was less in quantity however there were enough sides with that so I give it to them. There were a great selection of drinks especially beers which is also awesome. I recommend this place as one of the best for dinners in Orono and Old town.

First time here and I’m hoping it won’t be my last. The pumpkin spice White Russian was perfect. The Old Town lobster roll was filling and tasty. I also had their blueberry purée oysters. Those were also very good! And the view in this place is amazing!

A well-kept secret as there didn’t seem to be much of crowd on Sunday. We had a wonderful server and will go back when she is scheduled! Seafood dishes are a specialty and rightfully so. The view from the dining room overlooks the Penobscot River Falls.

The place was less than half full and I asked for a table overlooking the dam. The hostess said she’d have to check on “the rotation” left us standing there for a few minutes. After a while another person came and seated us, but not overlooking the dam. OK. I guess I was out of rotation or something, but there were plenty of tables open that did overlook the dam.

The staff was very accommodating and agreed to seat our lunch party of 18 an hour early!(My miscalculation) The bartender and server were amazing. All the food and drinks came out correctly. The price was very reasonable. I couldn’t be happier with our visit today. Thank you!
