I used to live in Pennsylvania some years ago, and fell in love with Peppi’s. My husband and I were visiting the area, and we couldn’t leave without him trying a sub. The service at this location is awesome and the subs are always on point. The seasoned fries and onion rings are a must have! The ranch it comes with compliments them wonderfully. The subs are huge! So be prepared to have them wrap up the rest. Great selection of beverages as well.

Ooooooooh, my lord! ABSOLUTELY amazing. Hands down the best sandwiches I’ve EVER had! The service was great, the atmosphere is more than inviting. The shop is simple & when you walk in, you can TELL….this is IT! We tried 2 different sandwiches & honestly couldn’t decide which I liked better. I wish I had a Peppi’s around the corner from my house. My toddler loved the sandwich & his fries as well

Fantastic food and service, all in a classic atmosphere. I’m glad they’ve kept so much around, like the landline phones and the decorations on the walls. The food was great, super heavy but beautifully prepared. I’ll be looking forward to my next visit.

Small sub shop with big time flavors. If you want to ruin all other sandwich eating experiences, this is the place to be!! Friendly staff delivering knockout after knockout. Homemade fries cooked just right. The absolute best homemade bread that you can’t find anywhere else! Soft to chew, but tough enough to not fall apart when packed with delicious perfectly seasoned steak, cheese, veggies, and the right amount of mayo. Quality ingredients and quality service. Everything was delicious and the subs were packed with the right portions of every ingredient. No talking, just chowing down! Great atmosphere in the place too.

Ah Peppi’s. I was the tad disappointed as I was expecting more as the Santucci was voted (according to their menu) on the “must eat list of Pittsburgh!” The old timey shop was pretty neat and the workers were fast and great! The sandwich itself is a monster but the bread was soggy on the inside. Too much house dressing I presume. As I mentioned, just a bit below my expectations. I would love to come back and try other sandwiches, though!

Wow! I am so impressed with the restaurant. First, the staff are so friendly and kind! And it’s in interesting area! You can make a day of it and stop by here if you do. The food was delicious and there were very generous portions. It was fairly easy on the wallet to. If I come back to Pittsburgh, I’ll be back @Peppi’s in the strip.

We stopped here after many years of not earing it…I mean like 30 yrs probably. The sandwiches themselves were ok not bad but could have had a little more sauce. They were all 3 a bit dry. But the older lady that was working the counter area was very rude and not helpful at all. Also they have 1 bathroom that when a man as a courtesy lifts the seat up you can tell at 3 pm this toilet had not been cleaned in days. The funny part is there was a mop and bucket right outside door. Yea I get its a no frills place but come on it would take 2 seconds to tidy up a bit.

For eating a sandwich named after a trash human being…

I’m not from Pittsburgh, so there a LOT of places competing for my “eat out” dollars and my attention when I am in town. The strip had many places. But let me tell you… This place is a “must have” for me. Good food, good prices, fantastic staff. Solid.

While in Pittsburgh for a conference, a friend and I went here for lunch. The food is very good, we both had different cheesesteaks. All the ingredients came together perfectly. The bread used is incredible, having both the correct texture and flavor. The shop is definitely part of the community and the staff was quite friendly. Well worth the short walk from the convention center.
