Wow, BEST SUNSET MOUNTAIN VIEW & inside was like walking into a Time capsule!! Polite and helpful service. Never rushed us near closing. Very clean, fresh pies, same decor as original Perkins. Best is habachi shrimp ! And turkey on turkey plate, loaded baked potato, fresh coffee for 14 hour ride back to Charleston, SC!

It was Mother’s day and the place was packed. The staff worked like a Swiss watch, seated folks, cleaned tables and served food, it looked like a well orchestrated ballet. Service with a smile and greeting and jokes despite being under a lot of pressure. Food was great and didn’t have to wait long for it. My wife had turkey dinner and I had broiled fish, corn, mashed potatoes and fresh fruit. I barely finished and my wife had to pack it up there was so much. Price was ok for the amount and quality of food and service. We will definitely be back.

It’s been years since I ate at any Perkins, I was disappointed with my takeout order I had the steak quesadilla my wife had the chicken strips, I did a online order for takeout from the nearby hotel, the receipt said ready by 8pm about 20 minutes from the time I placed it. I walked over at 8pm when I entered the place was very slow, I saw our order sitting on the counter behind the register , in plastic containers. Someone peeked out of the kitchen and didn’t see me standing there. I waited a few more minutes and he looked again and noticed me. When I got back to our room the food was almost cold , the quesadillas were dry , my wife’s food wasn’t much better, her mashed potatoes were like paste, $28.00 for subpar food. Perkins never disappointed me before this. I’ve worked in food service from Burger King to Sun Valley ID. I understand how tough it can be but this establishment really had no excuse being as slow as it was. They didn’t attempt to keep the food warm or put any care into making it.

I love perkins! I miss them where I live so whenever I get a chance I try to at least stop and grab one meal. I do miss their bread bowl chicken caesar salads that was my go-to! They had the best Caesar dressing I’ve ever tasted! One other thing that I love is that they always have the extra menu with their specials right now is strawberry season and yum yum yum!! It’s also very hard to pass their bakery without at least getting one little treat to go home with! I say go enjoy Perkins!
