Typically have good luck here. Some days have been a 4 start, but most should get 5 stars. Perhaps a 4.5 if it were available. Staff is friendly, food is of good quality, and generally comes out pretty quick. Sometimes you have to wait a bit longer than you’d think it would take, but not always. Also, I have never had anything here other than breakfast. We’ve been here many many times, but it’s always a spot we hit in the AM when arriving to town for the weekend on the lake. For lunch and supper, we always find other places, and honestly, it’s preferred that way. I wouldn’t take a National place like Perkins over some of the unique places to the area that do a good job. So, I cannot attest to their lunch or supper at this location, so this review is specifically about breakfast and breakfast time slots as well. Be that as it is, it may be well worth a try for lunch or supper for you. I’d personally just rather try other places is all.

Visited two days in a row. There was a normal breakfast crowd both days. The atmosphere was an “at home or mom and pop breakfast.” Our server was very polite and respectful as well as hard working as she was the only server both days as we ordered. If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely stop again. I don’t remember the servers name, she does deserve a raise for sure! She was a good server and the service itself was great. The food was very good as well.

I recently took my family to okoboji for some fun on the lake and on our way out we stopped to eat at this Perkins and I have to say it was great. The food was spot on and the service was absolutely fantastic. We will definitely be coming back to eat here when we visit okoboji in the future. 2 thumbs up..

1 hour wait on food, scrambled eggs showed up paper thin, cooked on flat top, cold, omelette came same way, buy a pan to cook with lazy cook! Won’t see me here again. Party of 8 all disappointed.

Absolute nicest restaurant atmosphere I have eaten in a very long time. So clean, even the large glass windows and glass inside partition. Upstanding in all aspects! Nice portions and reasonably priced. Highly recommended!

We loved the quiet, family oriented atmosphere of this Perkins! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had a friendly, modestly dressed waitress assist us. Beautiful also is the patriotic flag always displayed at a Perkins! Thank you, Perkins, for no loud music or televisions blaring but rather providing a calm, friendly, family atmosphere!!! We hope we may keep supporting all the Perkins wherever our travels bring us across the country!!!

This Perkins was fairly good with traditional comfort food offerings. The staff was really good and paid extra special attention to their customers. The pies are pretty good but I felt the commercial crusts used were more crumbly and drier than a good home made crust.

Meatloaf w/side. Green beans had so much salt. Why. Why do they think one waitress can handle so many ppl. I’m sure. She would have better service. If had more help from the hostess. I got seated when there was 3 other families. But I got served after 2 other families came in after me. And what’s with onionrings on meatloaf. The square dishes throw them out. Mine spun in circles when I try to take a bite.

I’ve been in this building for 1 hour and 45 minutes – no food as of yet, and other than taking our order our server has not said one word to us. He’s talked with other tables around us, but hasn’t even looked at our table. Thoroughly disappointed, especially since we had ( past tense) plans for after lunch. Those have also gone out the door.
