Don’t go there if you are Afghan. It’s is a one man restaurant where the owner who is the cook, waiter and cashier at the same time would treat you with discrimination. Going there was an awful experience and regret along our trip from NY to Miami. In addition to his nasty attitude, the food was too expensive, small in size and sound to be day old for many reasons including the uncommon taste of his Kobideh Kabab. I never leave negative comments, but I couldn’t help here.

It’s a small family own business but they have an excellent food . They accommodated the best as they could even though we arrived at 9:30 night

Okay….so this is a 5 star hidden amongst the downtown tourist restaurants! Ali, the owner, believes in a dining experience, so don’t go here if you want fast food. Go here if you want great food! A small, cozy, and unassuming restaurant, you’ve likely walked by in one of the busiest spots on Whitaker Street.

Absolutely delicious dinner and wonderful service. Highly recommend the yogurt trio as a starter. Mast-o khiar, mast-o musir, and a yogurt with honey and walnuts. order up and get the zereshk with your rice. You won’t regret it.

Me and my friends wanted to try Persian food in savnnah. This was the only place here in savannah. We wanted to order our foods separately and try different foods. The owner asked us if we wanted to try to family style dinner and we agreed to it. He suggested some sheep cheese appetizer and it was ok, nothing crazy. The main entree had 1.5 skewer of chicken, 4 skewer of lamb koobideh, and some grilled veggies. We also ordered doogh, which was decent and the owner said the yogurt was home made. Overall, the food was good but the portions were small, especially for the price at the end. It would also be courteous to mention the automatic tipping on groups of 4 or more.

Incredibly delicious food and service. The owner was very informative about our food choices and explained the sources of the food. He was personable and shared stories about his country and how he came to America. We will come here again the next time we are in Savannah! My chicken shish kabob was delicious as was our baklava and Turkish coffee!

Food was delicious, the portions were very generous. The atmosphere was cozy and the owner was kind and attentive. The service was a bit slow because the owner was running the entire Front of House by himself, but he was working incredibly hard to do so. Kudos to him for his hard work and dedication, it is impressive how well things were running being short of staff. We didn’t mind waiting a bit longer than usual because the food was great and the owner was a wonderful host.

My husband and I went to this restaurant on Friday night. We were treated very poorly. We waited for minutes to be seated. The Woner looked at us but didn’t approach us. My husband asked if he can use the restroom. He said it’s not a public restroom. We told him that we’re waiting on him to be seated. He still didn’t give us a table. We were standing there and he was jut staring at us like we came from another planet. I’m so disappointed to be treated this way. Will never go to there again.

Worst experience ever in a restaurant. There were so many things wrong that I have to put it in as a list.

We had a great experience there last night. Our group of 4 adults and 3 children has some really great food. The owners (husband and wife) are super kind. Their food is delicious. Some of the best Persian/Mediterranean food we have ever had. They were very patient with our children and made us feel very welcome. We will definitely be returning here it was a fan favorite.
