Nice cut and grill of the dry-aged it is. Proper dining time would require advanced booking. The bacon was unexpectedly nice with some crust. The size for 2 would probably work best with a group of 3 or 4 if you are not a big eater. Then you could enjoy ordering something else to experience.

Visited on 6/20/22 and the food was incredible. Best ribeye I’ve had a restaurant. Most places over-salt or over-season the steak and the steak is a passenger on the flavor train. Not the case here. Steak was a perfect medium rare and practically melted in my mouth. Their in house steak sauce, some take on cocktail sauce added another dimension to the taste but I preferred without.

Heard that the burger at Peter Luger was one of the best in NYC so we popped in for a snack. Note that they stop serving the burger at 4pm!

Hands down the best steak ever. I’ve tried a lot of steakhouses in nyc (Morton, keens, A-cut, Benjamin, etc.) just to name a few and honest I think about Peter Luger even when I’m dining at other steakhouses. The heated plate when served, the sizzling sound of the steak, and the smoky flavor… delicious. It has never disappointed me and this will be the go to place for steaks!

Honestly for all the hype, I was expecting a lot more. Firstly the decor and atmosphere is not as classy as I thought it’d be. The food had some highlights for sure, the crispy layer in the steak is great and the bacon was on point. Not sure how they got us to pay $12 for two slices of tomato and one slice of onion but I guess it was fresh? For the prices we paid, I just didn’t think it was worth it

My farewell to this place after my second visit. The first was part of my honeymoon in Christmas season, which, despite that our table wasn’t located too nicely, gave me a fond memory with our server who introduced his name, made us a good laugh (extra mile!). Returned again after 7-8 years, through COVID-19, it no longer required two months in advance booking to our surprise. My husband loves a good steak and we decided to come in for the new years. I don’t know what it was but the meat didn’t taste as good, and I think they receive too many Asians like me that my server honestly seemed tired to service us. I get that the porterhouse steak dish is heavy but he could have put it down more gently. He then cut the steak and brought in too close to my face instructing me to take photos. I wanted to eat and leave before my son was up so I didn’t have my phone at hand. I told him it’s not my first time here, but he insisted and I thought why not so took this but honestly.. looking back I just don’t feel too good. Neither my husband. When we were seated, we were saying how nice it would be to bring our parents when they visit us some day. But I think we are okay now with other famous steakhouses. My rating is based on the service received, value for money (which was okay but steep price increase) and the possibility of my return (slim or never). What a shame..

My Nth time here, still in love with it. Bacon is a must have. Steak is always legit! Mushroom is really good. Apple strudel is my favorite dessert.

Nothing was good. The bread was not warm and kind of stale. The butter with the bread was cold and there was a bunch of water on the butter plate. Caesar salad tasted like the kit you can buy at Costco. My son and sister in law liked the bacon. The steak was tough and flavorless. Creamed spinach was more spinach of a frozen flavor and not much cream. The German style potatoes are basically breakfast potatoes which were edible with ketchup. The baked potato is a do it yourself set up but their seasonings are below average and the potato itself wasn’t cooked properly as the inside wasn’t soft and fluffy. I would not go back. Service felt rushed.
