Peter’s has the best fresh catfish steaks in town! The size and flavor of the fish are really good. They are always busy but I have never had an issue with the quality of the food. If I’m not cooking the fish myself, I am going to Peter’s!

I tried this place 2 years ago and had a catfish sandwich, which was just 2 filets and some bread, and it was just ok. Today I had the catfish nuggets, which included fries, hushpuppies, bread and slaw. The fish was decent but the fries and pupps were excellent. I could have used more tartar sauce but overall it was pretty good. The prices are about normal for the times. Next time I might get an extra side of those pupps.

I give this place a 5 Star rating for their longevity / or years of service . . . Even though they’re out of buffalo fish (as of the time of this rating) – you’re always met with patience and courtesy . . . Despite the hustlers and freeloaders hanging around the area , Peter’s has maintained their name with the locals who know the area . . . Peter’s has 2 nice sized tables for dinning in and a seating bench for carry out

The food was good but fried too hard. The gease may have been older because of the dark coloration of the fish and orka. Ask for no salt fries and I got extra salt on my fries.

This rating is based on my meal and my dad’s. My meal was fresh and hot; no complaints. When I first seen the fish, my impression was, “This is going to be over crispy.” I was wrong. The fish is juicy and not overly cooked. However, my dad said his first two pieces of fish were fresh, but underneath the fresh fish was a piece of old fish. I’ll eat here again.

Visited this place while passing through town. Very local, mom and pop feel. Plenty locals were there waiting for orders (place is popular). Good food cooked to order with great flavor. Decent portions, simple menus. Stop by if you’re in town.
