Petite León Menu – Minneapolis, MN

Type : Fine dining restaurant

Location : Minneapolis, MN

Tucked away in south Minneapolis Kingfield neighborhood, we’re helmed by award-winning chef Jorge Guzmán and cocktail aficionado Travis Serbus. Petite Leon at its heart is a neighborhood restaurant. We’ve always liked visiting those restaurants. Where when you walk in you immediately feel at home. It’s the kind of spot we knew we wanted to build ourselves. Everything from the food to the cocktails to the wine list has a story. Everything is made with sustainable, amazing local ingredients, layers of flavor, love and a touch of nostalgia.
Our hope is that we bring you joy over simply eating good food, drinking great wines and sipping tasty cocktails. And that when you think about us a smile crosses your lips and your memories are fond.

New spring menu! Delightful dining experience. Barramundi in brown butter is delicious and light. The toast covered in mushrooms was the most delightful. And Basque cheesecake is a winner for a reason. The 20% service charge is not instead of tip. It is a bit jarring? But we would pay it again.

SUPERB. Came to dinner tonight for my birthday this evening and could not have been more pleased. The atmosphere is cozy, and just dark enough to be classic and romantic. A little noisy, but who cares? It adds to the personality of the restaurant. We were lucky to have Alicia as our server. She was prompt, polite, non intrusive and provided excellent pairing recommendations. We have been to MANY like-restaurants, but she added great value to the dining experience. We indulged in the mussels, elote salad, yellow jacket flight with Fernet Liquor and shared the Steak Picanha and the Barramundi. Whoever put the two entrée dishes together is brilliant. The complimenting flavors in each dish were simple, but savory and a perfect match for the tastebuds. There seems to be lots of backlash from patrons about the 20% gratuity fee on here for some reason…. It clearly states it on the menu which every guest is provided before ordering. With the service we were provided by our server and other hostess and bar staff, we happily paid it and even tipped an additional 20% to our server. If you want to impress someone special or just treat yourself, EAT HERE. You will absolutely not leave hungry or dissatisfied. Will be back again without a doubt.

Amazing! We heard this place had amazing burgers and while it was somewhat of an overstatement (they only have one burger), we had an amazing meal. We split everything and ordered two appetizers, the burger (also an app), and the chicken. Heads up the burger doesn’t come with fries.

Food was amazing. I highly recommend the Beets and Tartare for appetizers and the delectable Lamb for entree. The tamarind sauce and the flavors of the Lamb were so good and a bit spicy which I loved. The drinks are surprisingly not too pricy and they’re delicious!

Finally had a chance to eat here after years of it being on my list of “places I’d like to try”. We ordered the peppers stuffed with goat cheese, aquachile, the widely-popular burger and fries, chicken main, and rice pudding for dessert.
