I used to eat at Peyton’s very regularly, and haven’t had it in a while, so I called a to-go order in. I ordered the cube steak, rice/gravy, and sweet peas and cornbread.

Another hidden local place with food so good they only need to be open from 11am to 2pm each day. The “meat and three” menu changes each day and they post it on Facebook. The fried green tomatoes are on the menu most days and are the best in town. The poppyseed chicken casserole, fried chicken breast and meatloaf are all very good. There is also a standing menu that never changes. The hamburgers and club sandwich are very good, and so are the fries. Service is friendly and super fast.

Have not been there in awhile. They still do good food. The catfish was crispy and well battered. The cornbread is a must if you like slightly sweet cornbread.

Went into Peyton’s Place for the first time and was amazed! Very busy and found out it’s only open from 11:00 till 2:00. I’m posting pics of the menu for everybody to see. I didn’t eat here but I want to, it looks good. I like that you can choose 4 sides and make up a “vegetarian meal”, that’s so wonderful! Prices reasonable, too. Check out the menu I took pictures of. It looks like their options change up daily.

Cooks were arguing it took over 40 minutes to get a mediocre sandwich. Our waiter kept apologizing for the kitchen. This was my second visit. Not going back.

Great food, fantastic service. Friendly atmosphere and plenty of seating. Arrived at 11:45 and immediately sat down. Delicious food and the prices are very reasonable. It was my first time here, but I’ll definitely be back.

I had the lunch special $12.05 after tax. Leg quarter was cooked to perfection and my waitress was very attentive. All around great experience and will be back!

Slow & hot. With more employees than customers. Slow to be seated, After 10′, went to counter and asked to order. Finished my meal and waited a few more minutes for the ticket. Might be fine temp for a Montgomery native, but the inside temperature will keep me from returning. Lunch is my break from the heat and I don’t pay to eat someplace and sweat. Food was just okay.
