Every month my friends and I get together for laughs and food. Each of us gets a turn at picking the restaurant we want try. This month I chose PhatCatz and now I’m a customer for life! The drinks were amazing, the DJ was playing all the right songs, and the service was beyond fantastic. Ask for Koby (sorry if I misspelled it!!) she’s phenomenal! Now to the FOOD! So much deliciousness it’s hard to say what was the best! Potato salad, coleslaw, greens, cornbread, the best fried chicken I have ever had in my whole life, ribs…. And that was just my meal! I can’t wait to go back and try more! Thank you, Kim, for coming to our table and sharing your precious time with us! Thank you, Pamela, for being so kind and looking after us! Phat Catz was recommended by 2 locals & I could not have been happier. The food is AMAZING, made to order which means fresh & your going to have to wait BUT the wait was worth it. If you can appreciate home cooked southern food then I promise you Phat Catz is the joint. The ambiance is old school bar & restaurant playing that great ol’skool music you can appreciate.

I had the Haddock Fish and Shrimp with Fries and Cole Slow and It was the very best dinner I have ever had from anywhere. The portions were generous and cooked perfectly and most of all it was nice and hot. The staff was also very nice and friendly. I will definitely be back.

I ordered a haddock & shrimp dinner, with pacific orders to be fried softly not hard.The first time, I had picked up my order. The fish and shrimp was fried very hard also it was cold . I tried calling Phat Catz back the first time and no one answered. So I brought the dinner back. I waited about 10-15 minutes, then I got my order again. I didn’t think the Incident would happen the second time, However I was wrong and it happened again. This was a $31 meal , and I gave the that hands out the orders $40. I will not go back for any reason. If I don’t Prepare my own fish fry then I will not have one.

Food was great. The only complaint was the cornbread was a little dry. It was out first time trying “American” soul food and it was great. We’re from the Caribbean but live in Toronto so our soul food is a little different. Will definitely be back when I come back into the city. The service was also great as well.

Wonderful Buffalo spot for a great soul food dish. I visited on a Friday and had fish dinners. The fish were fried well and the sides were all excellent. Highly recommend this place.
