For Thanksgiving, I ordered Filipino food to introduce my cuisine to my husband’s family. We ordered from Philhouse because we’ve been driving to Elk Grove for the last 2 years now because of how good and reasonably priced this place is so I trusted that the quality would be the same.

A way to complete that Filipino breakfast! I say it’s a power meal in the morning as they cater a large plate at $5.99 serves you 2 of everything; cups of rice, eggs and main dish! Always keep coming back for that tapa. And to top it of, coffee comes free. Breakfast starts as early as 7:30AM.

Phil house really needs to improve with delivery options and phone orders for pick up. They always reject orders. Menu for breakfast says 8-10am but I cant put in a order after 9? Service is pretty bad. The menu is also inaccurate online.

The Covid-19 pandemic did economically hurt a lot of restaurants and other businesses. Therefore, I understand that PhilHouse need to increase their price of serving already (cooked) ready to eat and/or takeout food. What I do not agree is the fact that on top of almost doubling their price, they will charge you an additional $1 if you order something that has seafood or beef on the menu. Isn’t it enough that they have increased their price so much and also reduce the quantity or size of the food items they sell.

Prices are a little higher than competition but depending on who’s serving sometimes you get your money’s worth sometimes you don’t. The food is good. It is sometimes a hit and miss but their Beef Caldereta and Sinigang na Pompano have been consistently really good. To be fair, I have not tried everything but the ones I’ve tried have been good… could be better, but not bad.

Good place to buy cooked Filipino food. Servers are friendly. This is inside Island Pacific Supermarket. After you shop there, you can buy freshly cooked food if you don’t feel like cooking. There are tables you can use if you want to eat here.
