First time visiting Philly Jay’s in Alhambra. Let me start with the sandwich. I ordered the Classic Philly Cheese steak. The beef was delicious. Not overly salty like some places do, just the right amount of seasoning. The bread is shipped from Philadelphia. Nicely toasted but not crunchy or crispy. The fries were hot and t JJ dipping sauce is yummy, reminds me of a blend of thousand island without too much vinegar. The chef recommended dipping the sandwich into ketchup, and he was right. It also is tasty with the JJ sauce but recommend the JJ dip for those. Total $18.74 with taxes but the sandwich is a good size to share. They also do a $20.00 footling if you are extra hungry. I will return.

Was having one of those days and took myself to Philly Jay’s to get the delicious Pepper Cheeeatake. Was greeted by the owner with a warm welcome and happy atmosphere. While waiting for my orders, I listened to the nice music and sounds of the kitchen. Good vibes, great food and even better service. I was given a complimentary ice cream sandwich made from love♡ coming back for more! I highly recommend.

Such a delicious spot! The interior design has a good blend of what I imagine Philly to look like with a solid dedication to L.A. culture! The black and red paint reminds me of an old Allen Iverson jersey! The autographed Kobe Bryan picture frame reminds me of the rivalry both ballers had! Definitely a great spot! And their classic Philly cheese steak is so good!!!! Definitely support this small business!

Glad we got a little something different in the area now, and Philly cheesesteaks definitely hit that spot. The meat is juicy and soft, but the bread wasn’t soggy by the time I got home and ate it. The fries are actually surprisingly good and aren’t just some filler side. It’s a little bit more on the pricey side, but at least you do get a good amount of sandwich. Definitely something to get as a treat once in a while

What a delicious find! On Sunday, we were on a five hour drive home from an event in Long Beach, when the Google directions directed us to get off at this exit. We were hungry and we were very lucky to stop here. We ordered the Philly Cheese Steak to go. It was the best we have ever had. The meat was finely chopped and grilled, the bread was soft, and the cheese was mouth-watering. We love finding great places to stop at on our travels.

Absolutely delicious. I ordered a side of cheesesteak because I don’t eat bread. Such a generous portion, and so good! Get to this spot, or find their food truck!

Whoever this Philly Jay is, ohmygosh they made a perfect food. And a boxing movie on the television. The little dips made of plastic, hey Big Plastic what can you do about it right, at least the fries were perfect. I recommend the three for four deal because one of them is free. I could not tell which of the four foods we got was the free one they are all high quality. Another reason to have a family of four.

You can tell a real chef run this place! No gimmicks just really delicious cheese steaks. It’s really hit the spot. The beef dip is good (I’m hold it to a high standard) im just more of an Italian beef fan. But way better and more delicious than the sad French dips you find at most places.
