Last night I tried to have dinner here with my son at 6:00 pm. We are new to the area wanted to try the restaurant. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. The hostess told us it would be a ten minute wait because of the kitchen staff even though 75% of the tables were empty. As we were waiting, by the door, another couple came in and was seated right away. The only thing I could think of was are business wasn’t wanted. We ended up going elsewhere for dinner and will not be going back. The service from the hostess was definitely poor to say the least.

We waited about 20 minutes to get seated. The server took our orders promptly, but it was close to 30 minutes before one of salads showed up. We waited another 15 minutes before the server brought the rest of our order. My wife stated that we were getting ready walk out if the food hadn’t finally shown up. The server was very apologetic and the assistant manager even came by twice to apologize for the slow service. The cost for the meal was about $82.00 counting the tip. The price for 2 kids meals was $6.99 each plus they charged $3.29 for 1large drink and 2 small drinks each for a total of $9.87. I just think that the prices were a little high considering the slow service. Even though the manager apologized for the poor service. I think he should have at least comped a percentage of the total bill to make up for the slow service. We have been going to Philly’s for years and never had a problem. But I feel they dropped the ball on this visit.

A very nice place to eat. The food is always good and made to your order. Only place around where I can find a steak hoagie, everyone has philly cheese steak but only here has a real steak hoagie. They serve the best cheesecake ever, turtle cheesecake. The presentation of their food is comparable to higher priced restraunts. The servers are extremely well mannered and the atmosphere is pleasant and calming. Even takeout food has a good presentation.

Steak was fork tender and delicious, a bit more seasoned than I like. Onion rings were some of the best I’ve ever had . Staff, ambience and environment couldn’t be beat. Our first experience here but won’t be out last.
