Phlox Point Cabin was built in 1930 and remodeled in 2016. Phlox has served as a warming hut for the Timberline Ski Club, a USFS summer guard station, and for more than 60 years it was an overnight shelter for Boy Scouts enjoying skiing and other winter activities. These days it is our mid-mountain ski-in-ski-out food window. Take a break from riding and enjoy tasty street-style tacos, beer, wine, or a hot drink to warm up with on a cold day by the outdoor fire. Only open during the ski season.

I like this place. Prices are a little steep but it’s a great stop if you need to keep kids happy with a hot chocolate break!

Super warm and toasty inside, just when you need it mid-run. They have a bonfire set up as well, but we enjoyed the fireplace inside more. The girls working there were very nice, and had a good playlist going. The homemade chips, guacamole, and pico de gallo for $8 were also a must-have.

Best warming hut vibes on the mountain! Tacos are incredible, beers are way too expensive. Welcome to a mountain resort!

Great spot for tacos! It’s hidden in the woods and easy to miss. The serve beer and have a nice warm fire inside and out. It gets super crowded by the time it opens. Not a good spot for families. This is much better for a smaller group. You probably won’t be able to sit down 90% of the time because of how busy it gets. There are pit toilets outside which is nice.

Delicious tacos and beer on the mountain! This place rocks! The perfect mid day break from shredding some POW. The only down side is it can get pretty packed inside but they keep a fire going out front so you can always just eat by the fire.

Great little place to stop off and for a beer and sit by the fire outside or grab some tacos. There are also toilets just outside. I makes for a great place to stop for a quick break without having to take off all the gear and go inside one of the lodges. The only downside is the beer is extremely expensive and it can be extremely busy.

A small hut serving up tacos and beer on the slopes of timberline ski resort. Place is cosy, service is with a smile and their tacos are huge and tasty. What’s no to like. Stop by when you feel peckish after going down some ski runs.

An awsome, rustic cabin tucked into some trees on timberline ski area, the phlox is a great kid day respit from any weather or just a nice place to take 5 and dry some gear. Beer selection is slim and some tacos are the only sustinance available but just remember to be grateful that there is that. A fireplace inside and a fire pit outside give ample room to spread out and the location couldn’t be better
