This is a small out-of-the-way restaurant that from the outside doesn’t have a great curb appeal, but once you step inside, you’re in it nice, elegant atmosphere. The walls are decorated with nice artwork, and the accent, lighting and music are just outstanding for a nice relaxing meal. tonight I had the cashew nut chicken with a glass of Thai iced tea. Outstanding meal and terrific service. I highly recommend this place. Tell them that Bob sent you.

Very tasty food. They can make pretty much everything as vegetarian meal. However if the menu item starts with V it seems to be vegetarian anyways. Very friendly staff

Don’t let the outside fool you! Very nice inside; very pretty, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The food was excellent— I loved the fried rice — fresh and smooth flavor; and the fried Tofu Sandwich topped with veggies. I also enjoyed the vanilla Boba tea (not too sweet but still delicious!) and they have a wide variety of flavors. The Pho#1 was also very good. Reasonably priced — the only drawback being an extra 3.99% charge for credit. All in all a clean, tasteful, finely decorated restaurant, with excellent food and good prices.

The Pho soups are worth it. (We paid over $30 for what we got this place is overpriced) However, we ordered a vermicelli dish that was dry and without sauce. We also ordered the Happy family plate. The beef was tough and the shrimp tasted old. These plates were not at all what we expected. We will not return here. Nice wall painting of Saigon market!

I was looking forward to eating here because of the reviews…I was disappointed. We tried a few dishes Bahn Mi (pork), chicken curry w/rice, small pho, and fried noodle dish and all I can say is I really liked their sweet tea. Their bahn mi didn’t taste at all like a vietnamese sandwich, it lacked flavour, the chicken curry tasted like coconut milk with chicken and the fried noodle dish sauce was super salty. The pho didnt taste like pho at all. My search continues for a great pho vietnamense restaurant.

Wow! Pretty good Vietnamese in Harlingen?? Who would have thought. It’s not going to win any awards, but likely the best I’ve had in a long time so there are definitely points there. Fast, clean, great service. I had the pork fried dumplings. They were a bit gummy, but on the other side of that they were quite tasty and I enjoyed the sauce.

I used to love ordering from Pho #1, but I recently ordered Pad Thai for pickup and got food poisoning in return. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure not everything on the menu is gonna do that to you, but I don’t know if I’ll be getting that again after this occurrence. It just didn’t seem fresh, although it was served warm.
