Next to a Walmart, there’s plenty of free parking. The staff are friendly enough and no major issues with the service. Setting is very casual and geared to get the food out. The food however, needs work. My gas Xao Xa ot (chicken lemongrass stir fry) was tough and the flavors were bland. My wife’s com suon Bo nuong (grilled short ribs) was very disappointing; the meat was too tough and my wife couldn’t eat it. The spring rolls were ok.

Food was delicious! Even better, hard working family run the restaurant with their heart. Great to see local small doing well!

I think its the best small Viet restaurant in South Seattle. I’ve tried the pho, bun thit nuong, spring rolls, fried rice here and all are delicious! Even better taste than some other big restaurants in Seattle. Kitchen and servers are fast and nice. I will be back!

I read great reviews of this place so decided to try it. Service was great but the food was just okay. I ordered their special Bun, with chicken instead of grilled pork, and grilled prawns and an egg roll. The meat would have been better if it was marinated longer. Pretty much bland and the prawn was not fresh. It filled my craving for bun but not likely to go out of my way to get Vietnamese food at Pho 88.

I had the pork Banh Mi and calamari. The calamari was a bit overcooked, and I’m pretty sure it was ranch as the dipping sauce. That was a first for me. The Banh Mi was delicious. I ended up arriving about 30-45 minutes before closing, but I didn’t feel rushed. Great service.

I love Pho so I had to get some. I had to get something from Walmart and this was working the little shipping center. I ordered brisket pho which came with more than enough broth and sprouts. I also wanted to try the fresh spring rolls. Delicious is all I can say. Very small place so don’t try to come here with a large group. Place might be able to hold about 20 people seated.

If you are in Renton and shopping for a new car and get hungry, make sure you stop by Pho 88 Cafe for a hot bowl of Pho, a Bánh Mì and a Vietnamese coffee. They have one of the best Pho in town. The Pho broth is rich and flavorful, the best of all is that. It only that give you basil but culantro leaves (ngò gai). You will not find too many pho shop give you culantro. Bánh mì and coffee is excellent also. recommended and will visit again.
