(Pho Review) Since this place reopened it changed a lot, it is no longer “Pho Bang” it was bought out by “Los Arcos”. 95% of the menu has been turned into Mexican dishes. What’s left is 5% which is Pho but the taste of the beef pho was average, Our appetizers came 30 minutes after we finished our pho. (Update)- Please Check your Receipts I was Charged for things I Did not even Order, 2 waters with a lemon slice inside 8$ Jesus nothing stands out about this place anymore, like before Pho Bang Burned down everything was spectacular from the pho to the smoothies.

A surprisingly large menu, a with just a bit of Mexican influence, in a setting with a convenience store in the front. They have five vegetarian options, which is great. We hade the tofu fresh rolls and the vegetables Pho, both of which were good. The gourmet beef Pho was also delicious. We love Salted Plum Soda, you should try it. The seating is comfy, but could be a pinch cleaner. The service was friendly and the food comes out fast.

I had the beef noodle soup and it was good. It didn’t have the different types of beef or tripe but the broth is on point. I was a bit thrown off by the heavy Mexican menu but don’t hate the idea. Someone on my table had the menudo and it was good as well.

Pho is okay, the rice pork bbq (cơm thịt nướng) is good. There is kid menu with reasonable price, $5 with a pouch of fruit punch. The waiter was nice and friendly. However I don’t like the restroom, outside around the building and wasn’t clean.

I’m basing my score on what the restaurant was because it still carries the same name of the Vietnamese restaurant it once was and its the reason I returned because I was expecting the same food. For those who know this place because of its dominant location at the busy corner of Tully and King in San Jose the neighborhood is mostly Mexican and Vietnamese cultures that intertwine in area stores and and food experiences. This restaurant adapted to this culture from what it was. The menu offers Mexican, a very limited Pho selection only, and to my surprise a small side menu of sushi. We went for the Pho and ended up ordering siete mares and aguachiles and a side of spring rolls ( it was obvious by the sauce served with it that I was no longer the same people running it ).
