There are few Vietnamese food options around here so when you have a craving, this place is ok. The clay pot pork was tasty but I had to spoon off half an inch of cooking oil before I could eat it. The garden rolls were good. When the pho came, we had to ask for the basic sriracha and hoisin. Weird! The quail wings were very good.

Updated June 2023: it’s been a year or so since I reviewed this place but our most recent visit yesterday left us feeling the food quality was not up to their usual standards. I hope this was a one-off bad night versus an indication that they are slipping. Customer service and ambiance remain great. I will update this after our next visit. Lowered food rating to 4 Stars, for now.

The quality and taste of the food is pretty good however they literally are Not giving the Chef much to work with. Don’t expect a reasonable size serving for a 20 buck lunch. Don’t expect much protein either. They have followed the fatal cut expensive cost business plan . In other words, you shouldn’t expect your monies worth. I’m American and it was obvious to feel the difference in the way Asian customers and American customers are treated, how are food is served and prepared! Stay away from racism no matter if it’s reversed. Not worth the money or time, too many awesome Asian restaurants in the Sarasota area. This one won’t survive much longer unless their Asian friends keep them there!!!!!

This is my favorite Asian restaurant in Sarasota county. The best egg rolls ever. We had pho bowl and coconut, lemongrass chicken. They have a very low key simple atmosphere, but the food shines! This place is the best! We also love the ginger chicken and shrimp fried rice. Great portions. I love leftovers! You will love it.

Service: we went there after 7 pm, about one hour before closing time. We ordered 3 pho bowls with steamed bean sprouts, and a grilled pork chop with egg roll and non-spicy fish sauce. We were served by multiple servers, no dedicated one for each table, which was totally fine; but they missed out stuffs. They were supposed to serve 3 bean sprouts disks with soup spoons for 3 bowls but they only gave 2, we asked for more spoons but the server gave us an odd look. They also didn’t have non-spicy fish sauce for kids, not sure if it’s just this place or everywhere im Florida. My kid had to eat grilled pork without sauce.

The best Pho and chicken fried rice I’ve ever had! They give big portions so i took some home with me to have for lunch the next day! I’ve been here at least 4 times and i am never disappointed. At times, it can be busy but the food is well worth the wait. The location is great, right in the heart of downtown Sarasota. I definitely would check this place out!
