Paradox
Great food, friendly service, nice and not too shabby place. As they say, if the place has a certain “good” trashy look, then the food is great. The staff are always welcoming, and the cuisine is always tasty. I’d recommend highly for casual dine in. The pho bowl being square was a neat and unique surprise. Plain and simple with the focus on the food.

It looked like everyone was getting the soup/pho.. should have been a clue. Well, I ordered the Pad Thai and it was terrible. I actually sent it back, the noodles were overcooked and nasty. There were no real vegetables, just bean sprouts on the side and just 4-5 slivers of chicken. At $18, I would expect a better meal.. no wonder these places go out of business. My girlfriend had something different, wasn’t too bad, but her noodles were also overcooked.

This place probably has one of the most authentic tasting phos outside of Vietnam. That being said, I’ve kinda grown to like the overly salty broth found at most American pho places. Definitely good though.

My family & I were treated very friendly. The place was very well clean and I notices the worker that took our order was also cleaning as she go instead of standing behind the counter like most restaurants. We were offer a high chair even when we didn’t need one, that was great. Most pho restaurants don’t offer unless we ask.

There is a decent number of Asian in AK, but I think the asian restaurants here are pretty meh. We didn’t try that many places, but we weren’t really impressed with any. For example, the pho at this place lacks some flavors, feel like it is more suitable for western people. The spicy noodle soup is not even close to what it should be. The broth just doesn’t taste the same. The portion is huge tho. Not too sure if I’d come back

I love eating at Pho Vietnam 8. I come here a couple times a month and am never disappointed. Reasonable prices and delicious soups, vermicelli noodles and Bahn Mi. This is my favorite Vietnamese food in Anchorage!

The food was alright. Im having Pho Combo (it taste ok), Fried Tofu (it said on the menu this come with tamarind) but it only come with soysauce so I dont like it at all. I think it was alright over all… Young female server are friendly but the old woman who cashier are not friendly and didnt make me feel welcome by saying “May I help you” instead of Hi, How Many People…
