I’ve eaten at Phonatic many times over the years; since they opened up in fact. They serve a reliably good bowl of Pho, and their spring rolls are also great. My kids love their sliders, too. I’ve never had a bad experience with their staff. They are located in the shopping center by the HEB, near the movie theater. The atmosphere is pretty basic but not bad, nothing fancy. I think there may be some Pho places that are considered “more authentic” than Phonatic, but it hasn’t stopped me from coming back, even after I moved away from the area. Phonatic is a solid choice for great Vietnamese food.

Noodles were hard and stuck together in the Brooklyn bowl and pork was slightly undercooked!

I work nearby, so I order for pick up fairly often. The food is always great! I get the vermicelli and rice bowls a lot, but I also like their pho & banh mi. It’s a little pricey, but I have leftovers most of the time so it’s worth it to me.

14.5 for a vermicelli bowl is on the expensive side. So it is not very worthy but if you really want it and nearby, the taste was good. Do not come with high expectations.

Just only a few things that would have made the meal perfect! I don’t usually mind the self service restaurant. I tipped 20% and I don’t regret that. The two guys at the cashier were kind of nice. All the food tasted good, that I can tell they have good recipes. The way they prepped could be better. The egg rolls were a little cold (not hot or crispy). The small rice noodle in my hot soup bowl was not fresh steamed like it’d been sitting in the air for a while before pouring the soup over it. Thai iced tea, a little water down, just a little. My fried eggs had some eggshell in it that I had to spit out twice. All these small details that I think the owner would take it in consideration in the prep process. Otherwise, I think it would have been a good place to have an easy meal!

This place is pretty good, had the beef Bánh mi sandwich and the pork sliders and they were delicious, best Bánh mi in town.

PhoNatic in Round Rock has been off and on for me on quality. The bahn mi was too wet this time, not sure if it was the mayo or pork juice but that’s not usually the case. The last time I got pho, it wasn’t hot enough to cook the meat. I had to microwave it. But…I do keep going back.

What a pleasant surprise! I am not a big Pho fan and went with my wife and her brother. The servings were very adequate and the Asian Street Tacos were excellent. Very clean and really quick service!
