First initial experience is simply, “alright”. Firstly was greeted coldly by the cashier lady with the piercings, tatts and looks like pen drawings on her arms in the mix; when stating I was dining in, the first lines without looking at me were, “take any place with a menu”. I took my seat and the waitress was rather lovely and charming, she was also apologetic when they were out of bread when I wanted a vietnamese sandwich, so that was unfortunate for me, therefore I went with the pho combo. Apparently, they don’t have siracha bottles; they’ll come in by the ounce containers if asked for. Any additional siracha you’ll be charged for. Food was as expected for the most part as a somewhat fulfilling meal, just poor atmosphere, but the waitress made up for it being as helpful as she could be. On the way out, same cashier lady took and charged my bill in a snarky manner. Everyone else was fine but her.

I had a chance to eat here last week during my Alaska work trip. Arriving on Sunday, they’re one of the places that’s open, and I was intrigued for their ox tail pho. And I must say, my I’m a big fan. I never thought ox tail would be a good topping for pho, but they made it really good.

Brisket pho was amazing a few weeks ago; came back to have it again and they closed early. RECOMMENDED to come in by 8:30p to guarantee service, as slower nights can cause them to close early. Bummer.

Some of the best Vietnamese food you can find in Anchorage. The pho no matter what kind is so good. But if you go make sure to try any of the rolls. The All Pork Roll was the one I tried based on the suggestion of my server and let me say, she didn’t lead me astray as it was delish. The service was great and the food was even better. A definite must try when you’re in the mood for Pho!
