Another wonderful dinner here! We come here because the food is great and the owner is very friendly. A bonus is that it’s possible to eat healthily here. Last night, I didn’t choose to …. Piato has the best Pastitsio in Westchester, and last night, I succumbed to its charms! First of all, the serving is huge … it’s easily enough to share if you’re having a starter or to take some home. And the bechamel is exquisite! It’s rich, smooth, creamy and exactly the right compliment to the Greek tomato sauce that coats the meat. If you are going to eat lightly, there are fish, of course, but our choice is the chicken souvlaki, either sandwich or platter. Charred but tender, in a well-seasoned marinade, the platter comes with a small salad that has the loveliest feta I’ve ever tasted. My companion loved the salad dressing so much, he bought a container to take home!

Greg, the owner, is a very personable guy. His sister in-law, Danielle, is also great. We ordered take out. The atmosphere is Greek and inviting. He has availability for outdoor dining. The food is made to order and FRESH. OMG, when we got home what a delight. This will be our new favorite goto restaurant. The portions are generous. He also has homemade desserts (gave me a sample). This place rivals any Greek restaurant in Manhattan or Westchester County. We stumbled on this gem because we were in the area. Now that’s what I call serendipitous!

The staff was super friendly! The waitress was able to settle a debate on the proper way to pronounce “Gyro.” I’m for the West Coast (Los Angeles) so apparently I pronounce it the Greek way… and most New Yorkers pronounces it the American way. So I’m not wrong! Lol. Food portions were much bigger than expected and everything tasted GREAT! I did modify my order and asked for no onions and tomatoes so I was expecting a smaller portion but nope, it was massive! Gregory the owner even come over to our table to check on us and was extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend and plan to return.

Worth the trip! We stopped while visiting the local park and loved the menu. We tried hot/cold appetizers, several entrees, and even though we could not finish, we had to order dessert. This has been bookmarked for a return engagement with MORE people. Great service, better food, and fair prices. A restaurant triple crown. Only negative was the owner was a Cowboy fan 😉 Then again, with food like this he may convert some of the locals!
